This is the changelog.

1. Fixed a bug where Non-DX12 Graphics Cards tried to initialize the DX12 mode (via Microsoft Reference Adapter)
2. Fixed a bug where the Fullscreen Toggle could lead to a crash
3. Added an error message when a user tries to start the DX12 version on a very old Windows10 version that doesn’t yet support the Agility SDK
4. Fixed a bug that occurred when the graphics card didn’t support the requested Depth Stencil Format by adding fall back formats.
5. Fixed a bug where the moon is too bright in the DX12 version.

Thanks! While the moon now looks normal at night, the night overall is still too bright compared to the DX11 version. In the DX12 version, when you sleep until midnight, it looks like it should, but if you play for a couple of minutes, it suddenly becomes bright as day.

Also the draw distance of shadows of light sources is still broken in DX12. They pop in way too close to the player, as can be observed in the Morkon tunnels for example.

Will these issues still be addressed?

Same for me - I have to change the screen resolution to a native one each time I launch the game.

Thanks for working on DX12, but please do something about the LOD of the shadows. These "pop-ins" are realy bad.

not bright as day > the Lightning after 2400 till Morning goes complete BONKERS

It's not only past midnight. The overblown eye adaption is responsible for most of it, as it goes out of whack at night. Here 2 screenshots taken at the same time and place in Tavar. One looking horizontally, one looking at the sky:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2892794261
Edit3: And this is the shortly past midnight brightness
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2892823125
And for posterity, gamma setting:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2892825074

Please fix this, as it totally ruins any immersion and you can basically play the game only at daytime ingame.

Edit: I started in DX11, and the brightness at early evening is similar, but less pronounced. Past midnight is fine and dark in DX11, though.
Edit2: Made screenies public

I have a 3080 with latest drivers and I haven't seen any weird reflections like those. My experience post dx12 has actually been excellent.

REALLY TOO BRIGHT in Ignadon and Crater

During the night time, my Elex 2 becomes very bright in the Crater and Ignadon region (where the Albs lives). This happens only when using DX12 (DX11 does not have this bug).

Jesus H Christ.

This has been going on since March, it's now the end of November - nearly December - and it's still broken.

That sounds just great. I started up the latest version to check it out and was happy with how nice the game was running, and then I ran into that bright white crap...

Since March? How hard could it possibly be to fix that?
