REALLY TOO BRIGHT in Ignadon and Crater

During the night time, my Elex 2 becomes very bright in the Crater and Ignadon region (where the Albs lives). This happens only when using DX12 (DX11 does not have this bug).

Same for me - I have to change the screen resolution to a native one each time I launch the game.

We are aware of the issue and working on it.

Add to the game FSR 2.0!!

Jesus H Christ.

This has been going on since March, it's now the end of November - nearly December - and it's still broken.

Apparently it's either super insanely ridiculously hard... or PB just haven't put a single day's work on the game since it launched >_>

Which is why this is the first PB game I regret buying. I enjoyed Gothic 3, despite the fact it was disappointing compared to 1 and 2, but Elex 2 is an even bigger mess.

Lazy devs, they dont care. STOP giving positive reviews if you want them to fix the game. The last week the game went from 74 positive reviews to 86. This ♥♥♥♥ is not a 80+ game.

I've left my scathing negative and I don't care if they fixed it tomorrow, my review would stay. This is DISGUSTING. I haven't been able to play my purchased game in the 9 months since I bought it >:[

Okay

I was responding to somebody talking about reviews, so what is your problem?

It blows my mind that they didn't catch the bright-white at night in certain areas of the game while working on the DX12 patch. Well, it is back to playing AD&D SSI games from the 80s and 90s on my 486 rather than wait around for this game to ever be playable.
Oh they caught it, they just don't care.

Cope. The PB we all once loved is clearly long gone.
Huh? I just said okay. Seems you're reading into it and projecting a viewpoint onto me. It's crazy how much you assumed based on a single word. I've never "loved" PB, and I've played maybe like 1 hour of one of their games prior to Elex 1.

No problem at all. I didn't know who you were talking to since you didn't quote a post. So I just said okay since it seemed like not giving you a response would be rude.

Hm. Okay then, if that's the case then I apologise for my tone, it just came across as dismissive and antagonistic --- the whole "Okay" meme responding to somebody ranting :P

Let me say how sorry I am I couldn't get back here sooner. I have to offer a big Mea Culpa! I now am questioning my own sanity because I swear that the latest D3d12 patch was much improved over the original D3d11 release on Elex II--I bought it on day 1 of the game's release. But now I go back, and visit the D3d11 version, and I don't see any real differences! So evidently the fixes in the latest D3d12 Patch also fixed the same number of things in the D3d11 version...I guess. My APOLOGIES to everyone who started the game over on my enthusiastic advice who were nonplussed by the experience...;/ It was not intentional. I still believe the original D3d11 release of the game was much worse than the current version of the game, but the difference is that now I can't prove it. I suppose I could revert the game to the original release as GOG allows this, but...nah...I've spent too much time on the game as it is.

Memory is a fickle thing, isn't it? So, fellas, my apologies again. The game is OK, now, but I'm tired of thinking about it, to tell the truth.

I have the GOG version and the nights are too bright and the screen whites-out in the northern regions, on the DX12 version. Loading up the DX11 version and a savegame has NPCs walking around missing body parts. Nyra is following me around without her head and people are missing torsos. Both versions of the game are broken on my machine.
I recommend you do what I did: use GOG Galaxy's rollback feature to play an older version of the game and simply disable updates so PB/THQ's incompetence can't ruin things any further.

On my machine (i5-12600k + RTX 3080 + 16gb of RAM), this has been an incredibly stable and gorgeous open-world RPG, running at 4k@60fps, where I've seen a myriad of things that could have been broken working just fine. Not a single crash after ~35 hours. Considering it's one of the biggest and most complex open-world RPGs of its generation, I can say I have been immensely satisfied with it. It starts kinda weak, much worse than Elex 1, but gets better and better as you dive deeper into its factions and conflicts.

Edit: I've ran almost entirely on DX12. I do suffer with the weird washed out bright night thing as well, but I usually just go to sleep, so a new beautiful perfectly rendered morning starts again.
