Mid game - large ones, as you want to max out a lot of perks, like damage and hunting.
Late game - just mediums since you need those high values in attributes for top gear and bonuses.
Elex is more rare than previous game, meaning you can't just buy it in infinite quantities. But it is still fairly common as you will be getting a lot from mutants.
When you get to the point where 12,000 XP isn't enough to level up then you can switch to medium or large depending on your needs. Probably around level 24 or so?
It increases even higher - I've cost of 5 ATM for getting my main stat towards 85 -.- Hoarding the ingredients for stat potions is a good idea. Unlucky me I've to deal with CON - not so many trolls around. (the other potions are easier)
The game uses the same "diminishing returns" progression from Gothic 2: Night of the Raven. So after 30 they start to cost 2 points, and a whopping 5 points after 60. No idea if it goes even higher than that.
That's NOT the same as NotR though, that's the same as in first Elex. NotR had linear cost progression, 1lp up to 30, then 2lp up to 60, then 3lp up to 90, 4lp up to 120 and 5lp after that. The NotR progression is a lot more intuitive and I've got no idea why they made that insane jump from 2 to 5. Then again, I've got no idea why they didn't just use the old stat schemes and adopted this new retarded system so there's that.
Ok, trolls will soon be endangered species.
Indeed, although based on previous PB games, including Elex 1, getting maxed out is not by any means needed for finishing the game.
Since we are on the topic of trolls, I wonder if there is a map around that shows locations of trolls?
I tried looking up for one yesterday, but I did not find one. Most internet searches tend to end up in the result of the berserker faction's troll kill quest.
ill drink them. iam sure a recepies like that is hard to find, maybe dont even exists. saving them up for a "maybe" might result in losing them.
additionally the bonus exp is very good at the beginning,
and if such a recepies exist, how are the incredients? 2 small for 1 medium? or maybe 3 for 1? this will reward only when you reach a very high max level and even then it will only give you a small bonus.
i mean if you find 20 and combine them to 10 medium you get 10 atributes. if oyu drink them its 10 k exp. depending on your max level its maybe 0,5 additional level (not sure how much a level up requires when you finished the game)
this only benefits in late game when the exp needed for a level up is hugh. but then also the atributes points needed for an atribute that already high are a lot.
so this bonus you gain my crafting them is maybe not worth a lot
if its possible at all. and you lose lvl up speed on a lower level
Yeah, and we also have specialisation kits no ? I found one who give + 5 str + 5 dex, are there ones who give + 10 something or even more ?
Got a +10 dexterity, another +10 strength and +10 max stam. Max so far when it comes to stats. Although i got a neat +20 to all resistances also.
