It's not hard to avoid pay-to-win, and other ARPGs are doing it. While they could probably get away with it, EHG is not even doing pay-for-QoL like other ARPGs (stash tabs, character slots, etc.), and have either just given them outright or made them available via unpurchaseble in-game currency (gold).
How the ♥♥♥♥ would I know? It never crossed my mind there would be any, until they decided to include it as a feature in the store's description. I wasn't wondering before, but a flag doesn't get more red than this.
How would you know? Idk... maybe try reading instead of choosing to get offended at people correcting your stupidity on the subject?
Strictly speaking, there is no "pay to win". That being said, both buying power and buying cosmetics are forms of "pay to enjoy". So, that is still something to consider. If you can still enjoy the game with the paid stuff stripped out permanently for you, then it'll feel like a normal game that doesn't rely on microtransactions.
At no point did I say there was any p2w though. What I said, and somehow few read correctly, is that it's audacious to state it as a feature on the store page.
Ignore everyone focusing on my p2w jab, I just thought it was a ridiculous thing to include in the game's description and people took issue. I'm interesting in understanding why there are mtx in the game, because all this time I thought it was something like Grim Dawn. Do you know what the live service includes?
