Gender-Locked Classes?

Hey, everyone! I just recently discovered this game, and was gifted it by a friend of mine. I hope everyone is just as excited as I am for tomorrow!

That being said, my only gripe (and this is something I complained about in Lost Ark as well) is the gender-locked classes. Does anyone know if they plan to make male/female models for the current classes that don't have either options at the moment?

Character customization was a stretch goal from their kickstarter campaign, but it wasn't reached, so it might still be in their plans to implement in the future but it's not a priority.

Character appearances are predetermined and set for everyone.

You are free to choose the characteristics which are not specified yourself within your own playthrough of the game, and interpret events within the game based upon that personal determination at the appropriate points within the game.

For what it's worth, I don't recall at any point the gender of any specific character being mentioned in any cutscene or dialogue. They are just the character.

Would have really preferred character customization, but it's not like Eleventh Hour has the resources of Microsoft. I'm glad they focused time on more important things.

Don't care about it in a hack and slash ARPG. Won't see your char anyway once your build destroys everything on the screen.

I`m not here to see titties bounce or worry that i`m not portraying my real life issues. Why oh why is this a thing in every single game nowadays, its just getting silly

I've never stopped to consider what genitalia my ARPG character had, but don't overlook their crit avoidance.

I get what you're saying, as it's a cosmetic thing that's not important to the content. Just something I prefer in these types of games. MMO's in general. As long as it doesn't hinder their ability to keep content flowing, I don't consider it "nonsense". But to each their own.

I was a bit bummed about the gender lock too but did read in to why gender lock was done. (Animations, Dialog/Voices, ect.) They gave a good run down of why but did say they would still consider some sort of character customization in the future but not for release. I would be happy if it was as simple as choosing gender. I can live without the bug customization menus. While nice, it does take up a lot of resources.

I would have too, but it's definitely a cosmetic idea. I'm thankful that the game is amazing outside of that. This will certainly not be a deterrent of me enjoying the game. Just something I noticed in the first few hours of gameplay the other day.

in a gender equal environment you wouldn't care so doesn't matter what side of the fence you are one - this post and your good self are part of the problem.
