Just found out there's no group finder.
RIP.

Was about to pre-order and then it hit me to check this.

It's a big factor for me personally.

Well I'll check back in the future.

For others looking for an answer to this, hope this post helps.

as someone who plays destiny... its not always a good thing to have. it depends on the community. plus there are always third party methods.

I'm sure they can add it later in the games life if that's what people want.

there's this thing called chat that you can type into in-game to find a group. Crazy new tech, I know.

In game chat and Discord and tell your friends to get the game.

Yeah this was a bummer. The upside is that the devs seem to be cognizant of not letting groups have some massive advantage over solo players. They understand that's demoralizing. For instance, in PoE, it's not advantageous to group up outside of the campaign really. I'm assuming that's how it works here too.

I remember the times back then in World of Warcraft when there was no dungeon finder. People had to communicate in the chat and talk to each other. It was ... great. It was a true social MMORPG. And today... well ... people go into group after group for dungeon after dungeon and from most you never hear any words (or read) from the beginning to the end. Game has a chat. Game has a forum. Game has a discord. You want random people to play with? Well ... communicate and make some friends.

At least WoW has dedicated pug discords for end game content, which do a lot more than just in-game finder because the people in Discord can be held accountable for trolling keys and raids. Were not fully reliant on the garbage finder.

Well, it's an ARPG not an MMO. People want quick games. Get in, get out. D3 for example.

And for what do I need a group in an action RPG for fast in fast out? In a group the enemies get harder, so .. would be nearly the same if I just go solo lol when I dont even want a social aspect haha

I think we are playing different PoE.
And groups will have massive advantage here too.

I prefer solo but it does get boring after awhile I would group when I am in the mood.
