Diablo3 is my fav arpg. How does this game compare ?

I've played other big games like titan quest, diablo 2, diablo 4, sacred 2 and PoE but the only game that has kept my attention for 100s of hours is diablo 3.

How does this game compare?

And does this game have in game matchmaking for groups ? Still can't believe diablo 4 doesn't have this..

my buddy is kinda like you, he started with d3 while i grew up playing d2. two vastly different lifestyles, graphic styles, and core values in the arpg department, lol

I'm not that young I was nearly adult when I started D3 and I had been playing video games for a long time already, I'm 30.

I could have played D2 when I was younger I just got sent in different directions, with Morrowind and stuff like that.

morrowind is amazing, still listen to the OST even today. gg game

One of the games that defined me as a gamer. Now I'm all over the place, but I love my RPG roots.

character customization : genderlock so slightly worse than D3, as this seems to be a hot topic nowadays

itemization : better

Skill diversity and customization : better

storyline : worse

crafting : better, but grindy and RNG heavy

Art style is a very personal opinion, you should make your own. Many people don't like D3 art style so maybe you will think LE looks better.

I don't know what he drank today, but LE graphics are extremely superior to D3 lol.
The animation is not as good, but the graphics are even better than D4 imo.

morrorwind was the most athmosperic, immersive game ever. No RPG or Bethesda game could reach that level anymore.

I really miss that game.

animations are pretty non existence... the charakter is doing the same hand shake for every skill effekt. It´s so sad that anyone sell that in 2024.... first time is saw that i was thinking of "hell its 2024....not 2010 anymore, how lazy can devs be"

so far so good but you think that integrating a shop into the game is not any money hungry even if is cosmetics ? i don´t think so...

So much butt hurt in the comments, So I've had a fair bit of time in D3 even played it as far back as its launch as it stands now D3 is a solid distraction during seasons and D2 resurrected is a decent distraction through seasons as well this is someone who just finished playing through D2's season ended up getting enigma, two infinities, and so much other currency all from trading items throughout, now neither have kept me as interested as PoE and that's the juggernaut of ARPG's right now.

now if you ask me which is the best Diablo game?..Well, I've put the most time into D3 as of now, but it's because D2 really lacks any endgame content and D4 didn't really do it for me, but at the end of the way people are going to like what they like and for most PoE is to "hardcore" thus it's why it's never went completely mainstream.

With that said I think you'll like Last Epoc it's a decent balance between PoE and a diablo game. It's doing its best to find a middle ground between more of a causal and hardcore experience.

I hate PoE, but I respect 100% people that like it and can understand why the game is considered great by many.
I tried to play it so many times but just didn't click it with me. It happens.

I am super casual and i found D3 incredibly boring and linear... I bought it on a sale long after the shop was removed and dropped it after a few hours.. They literally had character classes behind mtx as well which left a sour taste in my mouth..

It is ok. I respect your opinion and taste. I did enjoy D2 atmosphere and sound a lot. It is awesome.
The problem I have with it is I played 2 times with 2 different characters. Necro and Sorc.
I finished the game with only 1 skill (fire ball).

How can people say this is a good game, where I just used 1 skill/fireball the whole game, is beyond my mind. On D3, every 2 hours I would change my skills and runes and use a lot of them, always changing.
(Talking about the 1st playthrough on both)

I never had that issue were you playing on standard?

LE is similar art style to D2 imo.. probably slightly better.. not like D3.

everyone can. the problem is the player shouldn't have to. those features should be in-game. devs relying on bs apps like discord for matchmaking or whatever reek of laziness
