Edit: did not take long, we got one, another "person" who cannot see a situation beyond early monoliths or confirmed features coming with 1.0.
Let me put on my armor, grab my shield and my sword, give me a moment to polish them to a white shine and tell you what the talking point is.
"JuSt TiGhTeN YoUr LoOt FiLtEr" oh gawd that feels awful, I mean yes items do sell for very little but like most things in LE you need to look deeper. Trade is coming, and CoF will provide loot explosions, so you will see a situation where multiple unique items drop leading you to make the hard decisions. CoF can get a titanic amount of guaranteed uniques on top of the multiplicative bonuses so I expect this to continue to cause friction.
That talking point also discounts that a developer told us they had a fix ready to go and it would be rolled out with the MP patch, spoiler that fix never happened. Currently the developers blame server cost for why maps have to close immediately when you leave.
This is frankly much ado about nothing: if youre not engaging with the games loot filters, and are still collecting junk for tiny amounts of money, thats a you problem. You shouldnt be filling your entire inventory with blue and yellow items in the first place, thats a habit you got from playing other games that incentivize that behavior and this game just doesnt.
Instead, use the loot filter to highlight items with stats youre actually USING (to break down for crafting) and to show set, unique, experimental, and exalted items.
This will straight up fix your issue with "omg too much loot filled my inventory" in a split second. Most items, in most games, are junk: the habit of picking up everything and selling it to make your money is due to bad game design, and isnt something you need to do in this game in the first place.
Sucks that you lost some loot, but frankly if it was all yellow and blue items anyway (lets be real, who doesnt pick up the rare stuff first) then you basically lost nothing and im not sure why youre whining about it.
Or, and get this: DONT go into boss fights with an almost full inventory in the first place... wild, I know
Tell me you haven't seen the 1.0 changes without telling me. Tell me you are still in monoliths without telling me.
Yes, I'll use loot filters, but the game shouldn't decide for me what I want to keep or not.
Literally just played through the entire game fresh with a friend bucko, had exactly zero problems with this "issue".
Tell me youre just bad at the game without telling me youre bad
Let me know when you get to corruption pushing my "person".
Don't get me wrong, I understand finding out the hard way certainly is annoying, but after that one bad experience one might have if they do not read about it somewhere, I have a hard time seeing downsides.
The game should warn you, I guess. This is not a typical "feature" in an arpg.
I would still rather the maps remember. Even if loot isn't gone on a normal map, having everything I just uncovered suddenly back to fog of war is not a nice feeling.
You're a casual and you're crying over spilt milk.
The warning is the first time it happens to you, probably at level 10, you don't ever do it again. You took the time to come whine online to strangers about a level 10 item you lost. An item you would have used for an hour before replacing.
Dear diary..
