Finally, nice to see some real content creator for this game here, who has been playing LE in the entire period of early access, and not some random shiller.
I don't think people care that much about procedural/static map these days though.
At least the guy sums up how I look at the game mostly accurate, and why I will probably not play on launch.
This game needs another two years in the making for an actual "1.0", and a serious endgame overhaul for early access players to return proper.

You know its like a recurring situation with LE, someone says something and 2 seconds of google-fu pulls up a developer quote saying the opposite.

In April 2018 developer Sarno said "Our Monolith of Fate endgame system makes substantial use of procedural generation."

Who cares if the map is proc gen? It makes no difference. D2 is not better because of proc gen maps, nor is LE worse.

The real issue is LE maps are all mazes with no open areas except for the arena style areas with waves of monsters.

Its a judgement call up to the user, some get burned out by not having it for example. On the other hand a developer did claim they were procedural maps in the monolith system. So if you don't care about this feature its also fair not to care when they decide to cut something you do care about. Such as Mac support, lan support, PvP, they reduce party size, cut endgame features, and so on.

Regardless its better than D4. I still dont think its nearly as good as POE though. And I think D2R is slightly better than LE, but Im enjoying LE because its novel and Ive put a ton of time into D2 in general.
