Is it me or is this game a bit boring?
I have been playing this game for about 7 hours at the moment and so far im not feeling it.

I don't see where the praise comes from to be honest. I want to like it but i just don't feel the need to keep going forward.
Everything just feels.. just... I don't know. Like it's just not there yet.

The story is kind of boring. Or at least, the presentation of it is. The world feels empty but that could be because practically everything is spawned in at trigger points.
Why is that? Just fill the world with ♥♥♥♥ to kill.

Using the skills feels, simple.
Kind of uninteresting.

The skill system itself seems interesting enough and i do find skill trees per skill interesting but the gameplay is just.. Boring. Well, maybe boring is not the right word but for some reason i don't feel compelled to start the game.
I have not done much crafting yet so i can't really comment on that.

I come to this game as a Diablo fan. Well, Diablo 2 fan.
I love Diablo 2 but after countless hours i feel it's time for something new. Diablo 3 is alright at the start of every season but as soon as the real grind begins it becomes boring real fast.
Diablo 4.. let's not talk about that disappointment.

Even after so many hours i can still boot up Diablo 2, start a new character and have fun.
But for some reason i just don't feel it with this game.
It seems to get a lot of praise but i don't see it.

I really want to like it and im trying to bring myself to start the game but.. i just don't want to.

I feel i wasted 30 bucks this week.
To be honest, if i could still refund the game i probably would which is really disappointing to me because i really want a new arpg experience.

I tried Grim Dawn of and on but i can't get into it. Grim Dawn feels too slow.
I tried POE but i find it too complex for me to enjoy it. POE is an example of too many options.

So far, the only game that really scratches that arpg itch seems to be Diablo 2 but i think i have played it a few hours too much at the moment.

I want something new and i hoped this would be it but this game doesn't do it for me.

Am i missing something or is this another "this game just isn't for you" kind of situation?

Man that is rough. I played D2 a lot as well (and D2 Median XL mod). But if you don't enjoy LE, Grim Dawn or PoE then you are kinda out of otpions.

I enjoyed Grim Dawn enough to put around 50 hours into it over the years but i never get to the end.
I heard POE2 is different from 1 so maybe that will scratch the itch.

I don't think you would enjoy it either. But maybe you will it comes down to preferance. PoE2 is very much an Early acess game with a lot of missig features keep that in mind.

At least it will be free to try. I think.

Maybe i'll like the end-game in LE. Is there a way to skip the campaign?

PoE2 will be free on relase which will take at least 1+ year.
LE end game is okay-ish. Actually pretty similar to PoE2 at this point. (There will be major changes to LE in the upcoming patch. We don't know much about PoE2 patch yet)
No campagin skip for a first character. You can skip large portions of the story trough dungeons >IF< you have the dungeon keys. But you still need to complete some quests to get all your Idol slots and extra passive skill points. Or i guess i could help you do that if you are interested ?

Hi you need to try play it with someone probably. It feels different. Also campaign is easy and thats why it can become boring. Also it can be because of build what can feels boring.

Im personally enjoying in this game how build scales with new items etc. Also bosses are challenging in endgame.

If you didnt played Path of Exile 2, well its more fun i would say but keep in mind you will need to do first 3 acts two times before endgame. Because last three acts are not made yet.

Thanks but, im good.
I prefer to play solo.

I will continue at some point. I guess i would need to go the alternative route i saw which was still locked at that time.

I prefer to play alone so i hope that it will get interesting at some point.

I may give POE2 a shot when it's f2p.

Idk what you think about Trading between players but if you are more of a solo player you will probably dislike PoE2 as you are basically forced to trade in the end-game. Unless you are extremely lucky with drops and crafting (which is RNG rerolling items or RNG adding bonuses for the most part PoE devs don't want deterministic crafting.) All of this is subject to change though since the game is in early access.

Last Epoch has the best crafting system by far of any ARPG. Nothing else comes close to the system they have. The item chase is also a lot better than most ARPGs IMHO. You can turn any uniques into a legendary in end game by adding affixes to it to beef them up by a lot. I've put over 4k hours in D2 over my lifetime, but I don't really like it anymore just due to the much slower pace it has these days.

PoE2 has a "souls-like" feel to it, so fi that isn't your thing, I'd definitely wait until it's F2P. I dumped 140 hours in PoE2, and it's good, but doesn't scratch the itch for me, mostly because I'm almost completely a SSF player. The idea of using 3rd party system to trade to actually progress isn't my type of thing. Sure, you can sit in trade chat for an hour o so, but I'm not going to spend my time staring at a trade chat channel to hope I get what I want that day. I wasted a ton of currency on my spark mage and got 1 upgrade, which brought me from tier 1 maps, to tier 2 maps. That felt REALLY bad for me, and I haven't touched it since January. I don't really see myself playing it much anymore, sadly.
I do enjoy LE, and have played a lot (like, a lot) but it is more a product of marketing than a good game, in my opinion. In short, way overhyped.

Of course, as it has been said already, it's a matter of preferences.

Maybe Chronicon is up your alley. A faster H&S arpg.
Has skill trees similar as Grim Dawn but imo way more interesting items or item effects which make the game ridiculous later on in endgame or even in late story mode.
Idk..LE is the best arpg game out there to me. Besides grim dawn and diablo 2

Play Diablo 4 and say that again. D4 is the worst ARPG i've ever played. Somehow its even uglier than Grim Dawn.
Perhaps Isometric ARPG's are not your thing. No judgement, just they might not be for you.
