Majasa

Have loved the game but at 70ish hours I am completely stuck at this boss.

Must have tried at least 2 dozen times but I am at the point of giving up which would be a real shame but I cant progress. There isn't too much online to help and I have tried several changes to my build with no success.

Any hints here? Very frustrated at this point and about to just stop playing

What is dealing you the killing blow exactly? Poison perhaps?

Your belt and amulet are useless for mage, change them. Get your poison resist at least to %60

Well your physical and poison resists are bad. Those are the most needed ones in majasa fight. You have no defensive skills at all (like flame ward) and no teleport to move around with. I'd be surprised if you could kill majasa with this build.

My build is a bit of an identity crisis admittedly...

Well I cant basically, I think I have tried enough to know that I am not going to get anywhere here.

Had trouble with my mage as well, basicly every attack can kill you in one shot.
More resistances helps to avoid that.
Speed helps also, to get away from the big hits. Never stop running.
Teleport is also very helpfull in this fight.
Range is your friend, get as far away as possible, not easy, as she is fast.

What is your strategie exactly? I see alot of DMG spells, not much for defence.

Well I am moving a lot so I am avoiding a lot of hits but I think as above, I am probably taking a lot of poison damage so when I do get hit by the 3 essences I take so much damage it is hard to recover. I am mainly using Meteor as it has 7328 damage p/s at current level so is by far my most effective attack

I think maybe I need to at least have some better poison resistance as that is making it even harder.

I almost get her but get overwhelmed every time... just. So frustrating as it takes so long to grind her down only to get taken out

you can easily craft some shards onto your gear...some poison and void resist...and maybe get your physical up as well....resistances are fairly important in LE....health also matters...so get it nice and high

Yeah clearly I need poison resist increase so will have to get onto that now...

It might be not a bad idea to rethink your build. Maybe get at least one defensive skill to have more surviveability, and as others have said, you really need more resistances or the endgame will punish you hard.

If you want to finish the fight, ask in chat, usually there is someone willing to help you out in this fight.

Okay thank, I am playing in offline mode though but yeah clearly my build is not working and the game has become very unfun as a result

I can understand you, but think of it as a challange. Your build idea dident work out as you where hoping? Dont worry, improve it.
I was in a similat situation with my mage, blasting through the game with ease, and then hit a wall. I switched some skills around, get more into forgeing and in the end i had even more fun, then before with my mage. Finding the right build, that works in the game and is fun to play, is part of the game.
If you dont give up, you will get through it and after the fight, you will be happy :)

I am kinda over it at this point but I love the game so far so when I can be bothered I will try suggestions and I do want to keep playing

currently only got one character and jumped into monos after killing the snek, so im not sure but apparently you can skip a good deal of the campaign and simply start running monoliths.

no idea how it works but perhaps you can ignore her for the time being.
