Does the Echo's corruption level affect the quality of empowering a nemesis?
In other words, if I have unique that I'm looking to upgrade, will it be more advantageous to find the nemesis nodes in a high corruption Echo, or will I get the same randomization as if I found the nemesis in a low (or zero) corruption area?

A Nemesis has strength equivalent to the corruption/timeline. A 0 corruption Nemesis will always be easier than one in a corrupt timeline.

I'm not talking about the strength or difficulty to kill the nemesis. I'm talking about the quality of the Empowerment.

There are 4 items the nemesis will drop and you have an opportunity to empower those items. You also have the opportunity to replace an "egg" with your choice of a non LP unique. After empowering the item, they improve, either by adding an LP or a legendary stat.

To clarify my question, does the quality of the empowered item have a better chance of rolling higher LP, or with more legendary stats if you are killing nemesis nodes in higher corruption zones. I'm "farming" them, and I want to know if I can get better stuff farming them in higher corruption zones.
I am interested to know this as well

Corruption should work on everything equally inside the echo, ie. if you fight a Nemesis in c300 vs c100, the c300 Nemesis should have higher chances of rolling more LP for example.

Great. I have saved up 20+ LP0 uniques I want to try and re-roll with LP, with the intention on placing a bunch of "Conquered Tower" Woven Echos. I just wanted to know if I should farm them in my highest corruption web, or if I'd just be adding unnecessary difficulty if the corruption level didn't matter.

As per Trasochi, principal game designer at EHG, on the LE Discord[discord.com] in the ask-the-devs channel:
Empowering a unique item through Nemesis is unaffected by level and corruption. This is to prevent encouraging players to save up all their uniques that they want to use in Nemesis and only use them once they've reached very high corruption.

Corruption does increase improve the effect of empowering rare and exalted items in Nemesis though.

Additional info from Mike, senior technical game designer at EHG, in that same LE Discord[discord.com] channel:
The benefit to the Nemesis system for increasing corruption is that you encounter it more frequently.

Thanks for the clarification, I had the wrong info it seems.

Can't say I agree with EHG's decision to do it this way... Main reason for increasing corroption is to gain better rewards.. This should tie in with the other mechanics.

They want people to engage with the mechanic more as they play, not gamble-fy it. The above behavior is more casino/roulette style. Its also more fair across the board; you have the same chance at 0 Corruption as you would 100 (which increases player agency, not reduces it)
OP Here. So, before this thread revealed a quote from the devs that Nemesis drops are unaffected by corruption, I ran 7 woven echos of the Conquered Tower in a c345 echo. I did not observe a noticeable improvement to the empowered gear compared to what I've been seeing from Nemesis from other less corrupted echos.

My small sample size doesn't "Prove" anything, but it wasn't a false positive either. Of the gear I seeded, 4 rolled with LP2, zero at LP3 or 4. However I did get 2 LP3 items from the non-seeded uniques during that journey, and I also had one turn legendary with 4 affixes, however the rolls were nonsense.

Fair point.
