This game's endgame is still lacking
I havent played since the start of season 1. I played a lot before season 1 and only a small bit of season 1.

The few QoL stuff they added was nice, but the overall endgame is still lacking sooo much. Once again I see myself not being rewarded by the time I invested. I reached empowered monoliths and am working on better blessings and gear, but to have a chance at either of those I need to clear like 10-15 echos that do not give me any benefit, are boring as hell and take too damn long, even playing something easy and fast like spin-to-win void knight.

Several tries at getting blessings or drops from harbingers and I am left with nothing across the past 5 hours played.

The whole monlith network is also incredibly frustrating. Getting a few good nodes, especially the new web ones, is way too rare. I would love to progress the new faction, but the game layers rng upon rng upon rng with no meaningful progression.

I played D2, D3, D4, PoE, Titan Quest, and various other ARPGs. I have hundreds of hours in any of them and none of them made me think "I am wasting my time here". But Last Epoch does. It is missing the satisfaction component of the endgame.

It also does not help that the stacking of the many systems (2 factions atm, corruption, forging, etc.) is not well layered, which makes getting desired items a chore. And even when you get a unique, it is often trash unless you make it a good legendary, which again takes hours upon hours with no progress.

Just looking at the usual resources for guides and tier lists immediately slams you with warnings that you need a specific Legendary to make the build work. Even PoE with its 10000 systems is more straight forward and I am a total noob when it comes to PoE.

First and froemost the node system of monliths need to be reworked into something more deteministic. The itemization also needs to be better. Less worthless Uniques, more ways to build your own.

The endgame is actually sufficient at the moment. Monolith is also more organized compared to POE.
BUT! In my experience for doing monoliths for a few weeks is that they have a lot of bugs to fix with the monoliths, maybe that is one reason they could not proceed in moving forward with more endgame mechanics.

I'm not sure where you're coming from but LE have the easiest and most deterministic end game system by far. It might even be too easy.
