Gotta love how toxic people are here...
As long as it's more productive than Brosef's. Impossible to "not stand in purple" when I die as soon as I see purple. Not to mention, there's nowhere to go in tombs.
- an optional miniboss
- that players are regularly deleting in seconds
- whose difficulty is adjusted based on corruption level
- which the player can control
What were you expecting? Are we perhaps supposed to give gameplay advice to someone who said they quit playing? Git gud.
The first one can be dodged by standing on top of the Nemesis since there's an "eye of the storm", so to speak, or by running / dashing / something further away quickly.
The orbs spawn at random but the initial telegraph of that attack is when the Nemesis spawns a big, single void ball and after that it takes a second or two for it to spawn 4-5 smaller ones that do static void beams. Those will have to be just dodged, aka moving a tad further away.
You can make a bit of room for yourself when you see the Nemesis "spawner" on the ground by first clearing a bit of the mobs around it, activating the Nemesis fight and immediately rush off so you have some leeway to fight the bugger.
I wish I had never picked this as a permanent upgrade too. It makes what was a fun experience using the Nemesis system into an absolute chore. I think Im going to just skip beating the one at the top of the tower.
Hes super cheap and Im just not going to bother fighting him anymore until hes fixed. Theres no way hes working as intended.
Yeah. But I really like the Nemesis system. :( So I've chosen to just stop playing altogether until it's fixed.
He's similar to Lagon, unfair one-shots and stuff. But at least you only have to fight Lagon a limited number of times and other than that can chose to fight him or not. Nemeses are EVERYWHERE, and unavoidable. A much bigger and more important mechanic that is now permanently tarnished. :(
Thanks for advice and stuff, but I don't think one-shot mechanics should exist at 0 corruption. I think Lagon is stupid too. If I wanted to play Dark Souls ARPG, I'd just play PoE2, at least it doesn't hide what it is.
Quitting until this is fixed.
I hate to say it but Im with you 100%. This fight is so broken. By far the hardest fight in the game so far. It feels cheap and poorly designed. His attacks do so much damage they feel bugged. Fighting him in empowered he can still burst me down while having capped resistances. He completely ruins the Nemesis system and I would have never unlockednhim if I had known how stupid broken the fight would be.
You think this is tough? I died in hardcore, and after my character respawned in softcore, I went back and destroyed this new void clown. Don't stand in purple, problem solved. If you're in softcore there's no reason to die from this more than once.
