Friends, I need some good advice. I'm a devoted fan of Diablo, specifically parts 1 and 3, and I also like the mechanics of PoE 1 and 2. I'm facing a difficult choice right now. Does it make sense to buy LE? Will I be able to receive the delight that diablo gave me? Are there any uncomplicated, "one-button" builds here so that I can sit down with a beer in the evening after work and take my soul away?

There certainly are some one button builds out there. And difficulty wise it is much easier than PoE, so it is fitting for a more casual playstyle.

This game is very forgiving when it comes to making builds, I'd say it would fit the "just a beer or two and kill a few mobs"-mentality quite well.

Spellblade / an mage in meele combat ) has an One Buton Build, just the attack and then skill the buff to auto, works like a charm.

There are plenty of options to make one-button builds, it's pretty easy to create one for all classes - except maybe Primalist Druid(?)
There's the classic spin2win on the Sentinel that you can specialize in multiple elements, or a build akin to Righteous Fire in PoE with the Aura of Decay poison skill on the Acolyte-Lich.
Hell, you can technically make a 0 button build with a perma minion necromancer.

Guys, it's not about the build anymore, it's about the pleasure of playing. Am I currently "working after work" in PoE? Is there a similar mechanic here, or can I relax in the evening while playing?

If you're asking about how the QoL feels compared to PoE. It's virtually incomparable. Crafting has semi deterministic properties. The skill tree isn't bloated with useless nodes to give the illusion of complexity.There is a ingame auction house for those who want to trade with no hassle or a SSF faction that lets you play without trading once. Respeccing is affordable. It's just a smoother experience overall then PoE...by design. We all know PoE loves their friction. Also I'm pretty sure there is no xp death penalty anymore. Which is...just so nice.
