Please turn off "league" mechanics for parts of the story.
Hello guys,
I honestly am making this thread in vague hope developer will see it. I know its stupid to expect that but so are the developers decision.

Overburden Lizards make 0 sense in Ruined Era and totally ruin amazing act of the game for me. Yes loot they give me is fun but receiving it comes at the cost of my suspension of disbelief being destroyed by the fact a pack animal somehow survived with all consuming void surrounding it.
Nemesis and Exiled Mages aren't as bad but still are out of place.

Please either remove those mechanics from places they don't make sense or at least try to make them fit in like you did with Exiled Mages attempting to attack other enemies.
Its really silly to see an aRPG with possibly the best story on the market just take a dump on any possible immersion in that story player might have.

Developers do not read these forums.
These mechanics never were seasonal. They always were meant to be core.
I doubt they've been designed with the story in mind.

Better yet, make Overburden Lizards specific to each era. Running into a very rare corrupted lizard and having to fight/kite just to survive would be a nice change of pace.

Most people.
I know that streamers and many people treat aRPGs solely as environment to build optimal character but most people play those games to kill Diablo, defeat Shaper (most PoE players likely didn't even kill Kitava), or stop Void in case of Lost Epoch.

My logic here is simple. Most people find defeating big evil bad guy more captivating than getting 50% more damage on your Belt.

That would be perfect too. I thought about reskinning lizards into common enemies as cheap solution but really Eleven Hour Games really should update those silly lizards not only visually but to be more engaging.

Hell if certain maps/echos would have easier lizards it may even add to decision making which echo to choose.

I don't think I've seen or heard a single other person complain about this, tbh.

In Diablo 3, players would drop basically all task to slay the loot goblin. It became the Nr 1 priority to take down when it showed up. Risks taken would go up by 300% because that Goblin is going to die today.

So playing Diablo we are allowed to enjoy more than just killing diablo. There are also more bosses than Diablo in Diablo series.

POE story boss Kitava does not have the same impact as Diablo or Baal. So we just played POE to have fun.

Now with this game, these loot lizards will drop good stuff and it feels good killing them. Specially when you get the shrine with multiple ones. So much loot.
If I deal more damage I'm having a better time and I will have a more fun time with the final boss in the game.
It's actually good to take out a fun part of the game because of one guys immersion, or something? If you think that story is good, wait until you discover books, homie. Gonna blow your mind.

my immersion in possibly the worst* arpg story on the market lolololol, loot goblins are fun asf idc, rip off d3 and add pet goblins please, i hope gd or some other arpg rips off pet goblins because that ♥♥♥♥ was one of the best ideas to come out of d3

The reason why lizards are there is because of You and the epoch You are carrying. I assume they are the embodiment of dormant eterra "life" that is responding to the epoch approaching IT.
