When should i try dungeons?
I have keys but i don't want to waste them.
Is it something that should be done or does it even matter?
Do they provide rewards or some other reason to do them that is unique to Dungeons?

I know season 2 changes were made but i'm not sure what that means.
Something about crafting gear at the end? Should i make sure that i have the gear in my inventory that i want to alter at the end of dungeon if possible?

Sorry about the ... all over the place type questions. I would like to be more familiar with mechanics so i don't waste my dungeon keys

Feel free to use your keys and try the dungeons. Some dungeons are better than others. When you get to the monolith, you'll find getting keys much easier.

I see the dungeons are still, boring and terrible with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss fights. At least they've added the skip to boss item, do these drop much? i have one so far.

You know the design is amazing when they start adding skips to everything :)
Skip leveling and gearing next.

If it's your first league character, I'd say save the keys to run later with alt characters. Dungeons basically have 2 uses: a story skip to get to end game faster, and dungeon-specific drops/mechanics. First time through campaign, you really only tend to get them after you've already passed the skip-point of the dungeon, not before. Once you hit end game monoliths (maps) though, they do become a bit more common. Unless you need a specific dungeon drop now, might as well save them for a bit later.

Each dungeon has a specific mechanic related to that dungeon besides the usual boss-type fight and trash clearing. Some mechanics are more fun/interesting than others. The main reason besides the story skip would be the specific uniques that can only be found from the bosses, as well as the Legendary Potential crafting related to Temporal Sanctum. The only changes to dungeons this patch was the ability to skip right to the boss fights by spending extra keys, and the Legendary Potential crafting mechanic.

You might have seen some LP on uniques you might have found so far (it'll be listed along with the implicits near the top of the item as Legendary Potential: # from 1 to 4). Basically, you can trade in a unique with LP and an Exalted item (one step above Rare in terms of rarity), and it'll add in a number of the mods from the Exalted item into the unique item based on the LP. Prior to the patch, it was 100% completely random which mods would swap over. However, now you can choose 1 mod to be guaranteed to move over (the rest will still be random).
