Last Epoch

Last Epoch

NEEDS ADVENTURE MODE!
Getting back into Last Epoch after a year and...

... the campaign going step by step is kind of draining to be honest

What Last Epoch needs is an Adventure Mode like DIablo 3 where you can go into maps/monoliths/dungeons from level 1 and begin to work on your character

You should have access to the factions from level 1 (it feels like dead space on a treadmill to have to get to x point in campaign to unlock the faction you will be grinding ALL season afterwards). You can add more xp needed if there's a concern about less time needed to unlock since it unlocks from level 1?

You can add the skill points/passives as rewards for monoliths/maps/bounty style system so we can get our power that way without campaign

This would make things feel more fun/fresh

I'm going to grind the campaign on my necro, but just the thought of having to re-do it again and again on each alt is making me think i'll just stick to 1 character as i don't want to have to

TL:DR: Last Epoch needs an Adventure Mode (like Diablo 3 has) so people can grind faction xp / get power ups / do monoliths and dungeons from level 1 and work on their characters

For now, you dont need Adventure mode. You can go to mono pretty early - you just need to be invited and you can teleport to the place!

In it's current format, if you ignore campaign you miss out on skill points/passives so you have a gimped character until you do the main quests/side quests

The points need to be given over to the adventure mode either via bounty/map/mono system to make up for it otherwise campaign will always be necessary to complete whether we want to or not unfortunately

I'm not saying the campaign is bad, i've done it multiple times already myself and the first few times i even enjoyed it.

I also dislike the feeling of all my levels/xp being 'wasted' until i can interact with the faction NPCs to grind their xp via the campaign unlock (on alternative characters a NPC waits in the first town to join, why not just make that for all characters in a season?)

After a year away and coming back i realise i am speedrunning the 'click click' through all the quests and completely tuned out of it and its a horrible bland feeling to have for the first 30+ levels of a character

100% correct

I would've liked the ARPG genre to bring in the Quality of LIfe stuff that Diablo 3 introduced to it

Last Epoch brought in Potions as a feature, not an inventory item (limited charges in LE, timed recharge in D3)

Teleport as a feature, not an inventory item (always good to save space and scrolls are 1999 design)

Would like to see the Adventure Mode / pets picking up stuff for you / Kanai Cube / Paragon system for soft power increase to help push higher stuff

I still do D3 seasons from time to time, something D4 has not managed to get me to return for in comparison

Issue with that is, it would signify there is an issue with the current game set up, and that the work around requires multiple people to pull of, but still doesn't replace the missing passives/skill points found in the campaign/side quests or the factions you cannot interact with until you reach them via campaign points

Would be hoping for an official solution since LE seems to be adding quality of life updates since last season, this would be a pain point for customers to continually make new characters as a barrier to entry and retention that hopefully Eleventh Hour Games solves
Just add a campaign skip option after finishing it once. Warhammer 40k Martyr has it, it's good. Literally everyone has been complaining that the campaign is too easy and too boring, for a very long time. The "shortcuts" are not easy to run, or even to access, unless you've spent tens of hours in the endgame with another character, which is not an option if you create a new seasonal character right after an update. And you still need to do the quests to get all the rewards. We could just skip all that, but the devs are not interested in giving us that option.
EVERY arpg needs an adventure mode

I just want to kill monsters, get loot, and tinker with skills mannnn

The more i go through the campaign the more i zone out, knowing that the experience i gather doesn't contribute to the faction xp, and all that fun stuff in the trailer for season 2 is loaded at endgame/monolith land and it doesn't feel good having to run on the treadmill again until getting there...

Please consider an adventure mode for the game moving foward

Even though you can get through it pretty fast, I would prefer a skip as well. After I've done the campaign a few times It just feels like hours wasted tbh.

+1 for adventure mode in LE

It's just a darn shame that artistically, it was horrible.

I know for a lot of people, that probably doesn't matter, but it didn't feel like Diablo to me, was like WoWblo instead.

But yeah, they did a lot right with that game.

A pardon like system is more than likely not going to happen.

The devs don't want lvl 100 to feel mandatory. A system like this would make lvl 100 mandatory.

+1, and to add to this I think it would be very beneficial and awesome to have a Diablo Torment difficulty system so you can re run the campaign and it would get better mobs, some sort of bounty system and cool encounters would show up on your new replay.

Also I really hope they are working on extending the main map and eventually make the campaign 2x the size. Pretty much just keep filling in the main map(there is so much space to fill) for that is the most enjoyable gameplay. The end game is really cool and all but something about adventuring around the map I enjoyed massively and it is the best!

One last thing it be nice to at the very least allow Skill to go to LVL 30, that was another aspect I loved it was amazing working toward the unlocks and you skill build. 20 is too little if I am honest.

No this game is already casual enough
devs who make any grinding focused game are incredibly entitled - we should, apparently, play the campaign over and over and over again.

Also the PoE2 lead, whatever his name, the guy who smiles too much - his quote was dumber than anything The Todd ever has said - "wjat does it say about our campaign if we let you skip it?" Gee, I dont know, what does say about YOU that I need to play it each season for each character, over and over again?

you campaign can be as amazing as you think, i dont want to be forced to play through it over and over and over again.

to make matters worse - they have a skip sytsem, and then they make damn sure you are 1000% unlikely to get to do on your first character back for a reset.

like one step forwards, one step back.

What it says is I've already been there and done that numerous times and would like to not waste my time with it. Let's get down to brass tacks already.
