There are a few, the best is crow focused.

Crows + wolf for extra summon. Beastmaster sub.
Gather the storm which gets charges from crows.
Tempest strike is for bosses only. Boosts base magic damage of crows by 198 (after 10 seconds), can only get that far vs bosses end game though.
Maelstrom along with gathering storms bolts get boosted by 98 base spell damage from tempest as well.

Maelstrom gives perma haste/frenzy and boosts storm bolts while chilling enemies.

Get the plus 1 max summon helm asap for 6 crows. Each additional crow is another damage multiplier.

Net result is even on high corruption you can just run through monoliths with your crows and auta gather the storm (Crows keep you at max 15 charges always if in combat) killing everything. Just use maelstrom every 4-5 seconds to keep haste going.

Get to a boss and spam tempest for insane damage multiplier, all bosses die in 10-20 seconds max.

High defenses as well, can even use a shield if you want without loosing much damage at all (since you already get insanely high magic damage bonus for both you and ravens). Can go with dual wield though to get another +1 to all skills and int=str by using a unique cleaver. This gives you HUGE ward retention (though half as much as pre-patch...it still makes you VERY hard to kill if you have good ward gen from eq etc).

Consider using sanguin armor and maybe gloves to get % of lost health as ward regen (along with % of max health lost per second) along with the primalist extreme DR/Damage boost for low health. This also means you can easily have 1k hp or so at under 35% health and maxed endurance along with all the other DR you get (which works with your ward as well as hp). Net result is one of the more difficult characters to one shot along with extreme regen.

The other primalist summoning builds don't compete because they are not magic damage focused, don't have the insane boosts to damage crows get, and don't also boost your own damage through gathering the storm an insane amount.

I tried every possible summon build for all classes and crows even beat out necro guilds especially end game. You are also significantly harder to kill, and you never see a crow die (necro summons can certainly die in high corruption late game).

Alright. Thanks for the detailed informatoin!

It's a shame lack of build diversity it seems like. I hope they fix :|

Not much of a fan these days of "You must do x y z or it fails" :/

I mean yeah you want some restraining, but not unlimited.

nah there are plenty of good builds, check Action RPG youtuber builds, there are many.

you can go wolfs + anything else, bear + swipe, raptors pack, poison build with serpent strike that summon a serpent and add scorpion+baby scorpions, swarmblade locus, storm crow, etc etc...there are many and many can be played as either of the subclasses for even more diversity.

Just read the skills, also www.lastepochtools.com/skills is a good way to find synergy between everything really.

click a skill and look at the tab "skill source" to find great synergy. Make your own fun build!

Didn't mean to make it sound like you have to play that build, it's just the strongest summon build (and alot of fun). I enjoyed wolves as well, and Necro summons was awesome and very easy for your first run through. Crows are just one of the uber powered builds and the best (in my opinion) summon build. Void knight was already insane before and is probably better now and you directly kill everything and are way more active.

Crows + gather the storm with tempest for bosses just is easy mode, but many other builds are still more than strong enough to dominate the game. I wouldn't even suggest doing crows the first time since other summon builds are quite fun, can get into high corruption (almost all of them) but will feel a bit lackluster compared to crows after you play them.

Honestly the crow build is broken, especially if you already have good equipment waiting. Necro is fun and fast through the campaign, and hits 200 corruption fairly easily which is more than enough when just starting. Wolves are ok as well, but more of a hybrid with you using swipe as well (more defensive than necro as well). Rogue has Falcon which at least WAS over powered (think they downgraded it a bit). Pretty much everyone but mage has pretty strong summon builds that you can get deep into endgame with (Forge knight is meh-ish but just got a big upgrade so may be better now, previously I would say void knight was better than forge in pretty much every way, not sure now).

Anyway didn't mean to make it sound like there is no diversity, there are tons of different builds based on what you specialize in, even for each sub-class. That doesn't even factor in the equipment you use etc.

My favorite is not the crow build though it's insanely strong. That build is basically a walking simulator with you needing to do pretty much nothing, even bosses die without using tempest which means just walking up to them and letting your crows and auto lightning blasts destroy it, might not die quite as fast, but you are still invulnerable and can just be lazy and hang out while your minions destroy it. You could even ditch tempest all together but there is literally nothing else you need.

My favorite is Void Knight, it ALSO does insane amounts of damage, but that damage is done by your attacks, it moves around faster, is extremely defensive and just flat out fun. Way more active than crows, so I enjoy it more (also upgrading eq etc helps more for that build, since you get SO MUCH magic damage from tempest you really don't need to focus on damage increases for your crow build, you also get insane amounts of ward and ward retention along with a ton of DR so other than the basic always max resists etc, and boosting max hp as much as possible (which is important for ward based on max health builds), you don't really need to focus as much on getting better equipment which takes alot of the fun out.

VK is STRONG even without good eq, but every single piece you improve adds a ton, which to me is more fun.

But yeah, at least 2-3 different very fun builds for every sub class and probably more, especially now. More equipment options have been added and a longer end game, so literally will take thousands of hours to really play everything in LE at this point. I'm still having a blast and I'm at like 200 hours or so already.

Well that's good to know. thanks
Yeah I looked at maxroll(nothing) & that site for builds updated for 2.0 and saw nothing. Scorpions & swipe was all I saw, I did realize there was more to the site, but why aren't these listed as full build guides? Just the lack there of the people do it I assume.

Alrighty thanks. Yeah I bought this game when it first came out for alpha(wow was it rough..) It's gone a long way. I've previous clocked in around 500 hours, but yea I will give my theory crafting a go, and see as ssf
