keyboard and mouse not working once i start the game?

alt tab works and all that but my keyboard and mouse does not. restart verify etc done.. also when i launch the game it says controller detected, press any button to use it. I have no controller. wtf?

Same, just started up, keyboard and mouse don't work, get the same pop up about controller detected.

my workaround is to connect my ps5 controller via cable, then disconnect.. then my mouse works. pretty silly and need to do every time i alt tab or stuff..

Because, some very wise man ... decided to override mouse and keyboard when they detect ANY controller. Brainless solution. I can't disable Controllers in Steam and Epoch ... just brilliant. What these devs are thinking ... is beyond ME!

Same issue. I've restarted my PC and game multiple times. I've unplugged the keyboard, mouse, and controller, still nothing.... Then I reset controller settings to default and tried disabling it completely for the game and the main steam settings. still nothing works. I cannot play the game at all. I did get it to work past the title screen a few times but any alt tabbing or moving off the game screen to another screen breaks the game again and keyboard and mouse stops working in last epoch.. ONLY.

i had to phisically unplug my wheels, pedals, joystick and disable bluetooth. Yes apperently it tried to run on my pedals lmao...

thanks! i was having the same issue and as soon as i disconnected my wheel/pedals the game started working again

Thanks, I got it to work that way too, however its every time that I alt-tab, or move to another screen off of the game that I have to plug in the controller and unplug it to get my mouse n keyboard working again.... Which is very frustrating! haha

Thanks, I got it to work that way too, however its every time that I alt-tab, or move to another screen off of the game that I have to plug in the controller and unplug it to get my mouse n keyboard working again.... Which is very frustrating! haha

in game there is a setting to restrict mouse to game window, if you put it to fullscreen that helps a bit with unwanted "alt tab" if you have multi screen setup.
