I have good internet but also go for offline mode if queues are to long or server fecked.
And it always was like that after their Big patches in the past.
I dont mind doing a 'test' run and start over a few hours later.
You still don’t own the game, so nothing impacts you, and all you are trying to do is farm awards over the tiniest scrap of non-drama because the game you want to play is falling apart before your very eyes.
Just move on dude. Seriously.
Even the devs coming to those threads and let people know that they can't switch. If devs doing this, then you know people misleading.
At the end of the day, if you know server instability will be an issue, don't play online on Day 1 and wait for the issue to be solved, if it ever will be. That's why people recommend you the offline mode : you still can play the game despite connectivity issues, though you won't have access to the cosmetic shop, trading and leaderboards.
If you're going to rant, buying the game will also buy you more credibility, especially when you write this type of thread.
Just another angry litte padawan :)
Btw, if it affects you (like you would actually buy the game), and you make an offline character and then go Surprised Pikachu when you can't bring the toon into online, guess who's to blame?
