Yes! every expanding buissness should offer lower prices over time as they add more value to the purchase. (thats some serious commie logic right there)
Yep.
Meh, that was a lie. Outta wishlist now then.
I dont know if its in big league, but its the same genre as Diablo and Poe. Diablo has better production value, and Poe has huge content and is free. So to compete with their newest titles LE needs to be good and cheap. And its not cheap.
They dont live in vacuum, they live on steam. Steam is full of games that compete with each other, also by price. Noone is buying overpriced games, but these games sell more when they go on sale.
I dont remeber this game being on sale, ever. And now its even more expensive which totally kills my desire to endlessly wait to play it.
It may be against your businessman logic, but I think publisher would rather sell this game for 40-50% less than not sell it at all. Or maybe not, maybe pride is bigger than wanting my money, maybe they want full 35$ or 0. I choose 0 then.
Also i dont care if they add new content and want more money, they chose EA model, they took people's money and they are obliged to add new content they promised.
Yes, this must be the reason prices are higher. I checked $34.99 USD price for my currency and its raise from 124,99 to 161,99, which is exactly how it costs now.
This is 30% raise which is huge, almost 1/3 more. But thats not the real shocker- in some countries prices are higher by 60%, 70%, or 100%. Holy bazinga, in Turkey there is +470% raise, in Argentina +515%.
These are just steam recommendations and developers can choose price however they want. But many of these countries are poor countries, or countries at conflict (Ukrainian Hryvna price 429 to 700 which is +63%). So how Steam and publishers expect people to pay more?
This is madness, prices were high already, now they are unbearable.
If publishers update everything according to this chart i will stop buying new games.
LE started from scratch, few dudes wanting wanting to make something cool and now they are compared to world class projects. If thats not amazing, idk what is.
It does not matter if booth D4 and PoE2 end up great, the arpg genre is as vast as FPS one. There is room for plenty more than 2 games. LE is not being made as player driven, like ie. survival games, that need all the players to succeed. I feel this all or nothing idea is coming from the need to play the "top dog", to follow the crowd. Is the argument really that low?
Exactly, and that why there were no sales. Because on steam you have one chance to make it big. For games with one fixed purchase, as long as you are not starved for money during development, it does not matter when you get that sale. So selling more copies earlier has the potential to harm more than help in this case.
You are mistaking EA for kickstarter. Also whats the argument here? If you backed KS or bought EA earlier you are not required to pay the difference now... only people that buy after the price hike, and there are no "obligations" for EA, you get what you pay for. At best we can "gamble" on the game turning out good.
Those few dudes managed to scuff even the most basic gameplay loop of the genre, in the get gear to get stronger to take on harder content. Those few dudes actually asked "what is the difference between bonus health and critical avoidance" Judging from your white knighting its clear that such basic concepts are also beyond you. Or to say you cant logic someone out of a position they did logic themselves into.
Just because its a small team in and of itself, does not make the product any good.
