D4 is great if you just want to casually play
POE2 is great if you like complex systems and can give it all your time
LE is great if you like both concepts and just want some good ol' quality fun with a lot of depth.
1. Last Epoch
2. Poe 1
3. Poe 2
4. Dia 4
There will be a lot of ppl who say "If you want to play the best game possible Poe is the way" but i dont like it, no hate on Poe just Last Epoch is more attractive to me
It's very easy to get into but alot to learn, build variety and pacing is very good.
Im personally not a fan of D4's open world and poe2 still needs alot of work.
What about seasonal content in Last Epoch? Any missable content? Any ways to farm real money just by playing like Drakensang Online (just an example)?
Nah, is just probably one stupid question... some games many years ago drop "real money" just by playing. The drop chance was very low but exist and let people keep playing to get cosmetics and skins without paying
This is coming from someone who plays these types of games more casually. I dont min max and i build whatever I want to try, I dont folllow any build guides or go for meta stuff. As far as that goes I had the most success in Last Epoch, every build I theorcrafted as a casuall player felt powerful and rewarding, whereas in POE2 i struggled a bit more and in D4 there was so little build variety that it was kind of pathetic.
Crafting: LE easily, not as much RNG and completely flexible without ruining the game in 2 days. D4 is volatile and some seasons have good crafting and others pretty bad. Poe 2 worst crafting, just farm currency and buy all your gear.
Itemization: Poe 2 and LE are better but they're still not great, in poe 2 most uniques are useless and there's way too many useless affixes to make it retro but it doesn't work as well even comparing it to d2 that has powerful uniques and runewords that are guaranteed best in slot, poe 2 is too RNG in this aspect.
LE some uniques are locked behind killing the same boss 50-100+ times then it starts dropping, and it's still a low drop chance, some are essential for some builds to even get started, also set items are pretty much useless here but they're fixing it to be more like d4 that you destroy them to get the aspect to craft onto another items.
Endgame: Poe 2 has the most content but much of it can be buggy or very unbalanced, life and armor is still useless and even rangers/amazons often build for energy shield. LE has less endgame but it's a bit more polished than poe 2 but still with the same problems of unbalancing, but not as much because it's a finished game. D4 has like 1/5 or less content than these other 2.
Some free time (employed) = Lost Epoch
Barely any free time (employed dad) = Diablo 4
