Center idol slot locked

I can not get the center idol slot to open up.
Map says... 'Passive points rewards 15 / 15
Idol slot rewards 8 / 8

Is this normal?

Yup, it's supposed to be that way. You have to build around that center block.

Yes, Its the wedge that was suppose to make you think on the size of picking relics.

If i remember right, Season 2 was suppose to add charm space and 2 passive skill points, So it might be removable in the upcoming patch.

Nope, the 1x1 blocked space stays in season 2
what you are referring to is a new reward for completing dungeons while leveling, those reward passive points and slots now
