Lightning Skill and game questions

I want to be able to build a chain lightning guy that can melt all content . Is this possible in LE?
Also i do not want a game that has to be a fulltime daily job like poe2.
Is this game for me?

You can get to endgame pretty quickly through the campaign which isn't that challenging.

My gf and I just started yesterday and our hodgepodge builds of beastmaster and spellblade are just steamrolling and having a blast with more gear drops than we know what to do with

No game, even PoE2, is a full time job unless you make it one.

As far as chain lightning goes, it's easy to do endgame with pretty much any skill. You just build around that damage type and find uniques/exalts that fit the bill.

There is a good amount of fun Lightning-based paths in this game. For the 'full-time job', this game can hit endgame objectives quickly (maps/mono's, dungeons, bosses). You get rewards fast and don't have to sink a lot of time into it unless you want to.

Lightning Blast Mage is what you want. You can play it as a fast build that wants to keep up various short-timed buffs, or you can play it as a slow and chill version. It can clear all content today, and it's getting small buffs and bugfixes next week.

The Sorcerer variety can combine it with Meteor converted to Lightning.
The Runemaster variety can add a very strong DoT effect to it at the cost of some mana management.
And there are other versions too.
