Unplayable due to rubber banding

I wanted to try this game after not playing in a while and quit before level 6 because rubber banding, outside of hubs, made the game unplayable. This was with a reported 80ms ping. Not great, but not terrible. It's like the net code got worse somehow, which is wild considering this game's history.

How much memory does your rig have?

I ask because I had some performance issues as well. Upgraded from 16gb to 64gb and it runs smooth as silk, max settings.

Just switch to offline. Offline doesn't rubberband. Stop playing your online character and make an offline one. Unfortunately you can't transfer over.

But I didn't realize you were playing online which I rarely do.

Yeah, I decided to do an online character because I wanted to have access to the Merchant Guild if I needed it. I guess it's be able to play or be able to trade, but not both.

Ur full of BS. There is no way u haven't had any issues.

The server stability just gets worse with each update they do. Extremely noticeable in a party.

Right now u cant even. Play the game in a party it lags and rubber bands so bad. Wasn't like that in 1.0

Even playing solo end game has bad prefomence server side people have been complaining about lag and rubber banding

Server stability hasn't gotten any better since MP launched in March of 2023.

Not much u can do about it.

Rubber banding as well as lag are server sided issues

US East. It seems like the only way to avoid rubber banding is to have a ping less than 50ms which is a pretty strict restriction!

Wife and I play on US east. There's rubber banding alot in monoliths empowered is even worse with it as well as lag

Even lag to the point u can't play in a party in end game anymore.

This is with a ping around 25-30

US east server still has server stability issues.

This is correct.

Fortunately, solo self-found is pretty fun in this game. I like the crafting system and such. It's fun to chase uniques and you can kinda target farm them (some of them come specifically from certain bosses but others you can at least do monoliths that have that item's type as a unique reward sometimes).
