Great performance last cycle, now I cant play a fire build because its giving me 5fps. Plenty of people all over these forums reporting performance issue from RTX 4080s and up (like mine).
but we know the game has issues too -- there's problems with certain mobs on certain monoliths when using certain player skills, indicative of buggy/unoptimized shaders
there's (still) issues with load screens and scene transitions where the various layers of servers have to talk to each other.
and each person's connection to their server takes a different route on the internet with different hops that may be dropping packets, even if their internet is "good"
that said, MOST of my recent play time this season has been smooth and enjoyable on US/East. it does suck when I try to zone and get infinite load screen and/or disconnected but that hasn't been the majority of my experience this season
Did you know how to read? Tell me again where I said it was a PC problem. So therefore why would I post absolutely any info what so ever about my PC? As someone else has stated above, nice try on gas lighting. Please explain what part of my PC is going to cause my ping to start at 64ms and as soon as I get into game it start bouncing around like crazy? Not my GPU, not my CPU, not my ram and hardwired into the PC from my router. I've done the port forwarding, YouTubed how to fix lag in this game and none of those settings worked. None of my hardware is going to cause my ping to go from 64ms to 1500ms and just dance around somewhere in between. Explain why there are still long load times in between zones? Some longer than others on almost everyones PCs. So what are you going to say next? Go buy a $5k new PC, then what happens when it is doing the same thing, are you going to reimburse me for money and time lost? Are the Devs? Should I upgrade my 1g internet to fiber? Should I upgrade my 1g network port?
Doesn't lag in Diablo 4, doesn't lag in Grey zone warfare which is on UE5, doesn't lag on any other game but this one, but it's my PC though. Please go on in logic and detail on exactly what on my PC could be causing the lag issues? Then explain why the general chat and this forum is filled with the same issues......SINCE DAY 1? But it's all the PCs, correct?
Just for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles
Win 11

Idiots like you are spamming the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clown emote and doing corporate defense to EHG. Recognize that the game has issues kid, it's not terrible.
You can play and criticize at the same time.
How much of a difference you think there is between a 3080 and a 3070 TI? Enough to cause the ping to go from 64ms to 1500+ back down to 200 then up to 500 then back down to 147 up to 800 and so on and so on. Since when did GPUs have anything to do with ping. That's not how it works. FPS, yes but not ping. Which I don't have any issues with FPS, lots of others do though. My issues is lag and studdering. Others have these two issues along with FPS. I can watch my little meter at the side on my hot bars bounce around the entire time I'm playing. Like I said it doesn't matter what video settings I used.
This "bug" has been reported since Beta, been reported since day 1 launch, been reported throughout the entire time this game has been "playable". They even have a dev post early on after release to go through some settings to fix the lag and studdering and rubberbaind issues. None of those settings did anything at all for lots and lots of people. Go back and look at the post from when the game was actually released.
I already have, just as my OP states. How many settings am I to go through to come to the conclusion that these problems are not on my end.
I am not having issues with FPS. My problem is with the lag and studdering. Others have had issues with lag, studdering AND FPS. Technically when it does lag it does reduce FPS as in the screen freezes. Understand now? When I use the ability shift, it will shift right away then lag for a second or more after, therefore reducing FPS to 0 because the screen freezes as my latency sky rockects.
So I stated studdering and lag and FPS but we are just going to skip right over the other two and go right to FPS, also skipping right over the fact that I stated in a whole damn paragraph you quoted, that in fact my ping goes from 34ms to 64ms to 1500ms to 800 then down to 500 and so on and so on. So I ask you once again what hardware is going to cause that? Because it is not my CPU nor my GPU nor my RAM nor my 4TB SSD that is just for games nor my MoBo. Are we on the same page now? Unless you have some options I can try I really don't care what you have to say at this point.
My internet is crap (cable - only option). I still usually see ping times under 30ms. That doesn't mean I won't have lag issues, because you can have low latency with low download speeds. Lowest I've clocked is about 17 mbps down (paying for 300 mbps).
Anyhow, sounds like connection issues. It sucks. I know, since I experience them often.
Just to be clear, I do wish their server infrastructure was better. But I still get the same issues even on games like Diablo IV. I just have to live with it for now.
Usually I only get flicker during loading. This is on top of having all the settings at on very low with a 4070S so I can try to maintain 60+ FPS when playing. Torment warlock doesn't like to play nice with unity.
But yes responding to the OP, please optimize this game, or migrate engines. I think unity is the cause of most of LE's issues. Unity seems great for simple side scrolling games, but any sort of calculations and unity doesn't do well. From personal experience playing unity games anyways.
