Portal From Echo Doesn't Return Me To Monolith?

Not sure if this is a bug or just something new that I've never encountered before and don't understand how to progress from...

I completed an Echo and hit the green Portal button. Hopped in the portal to go back to the Monolith to collect my loot and instead I am stuck on a screen in what looks like outer space with a flaming circle in the middle. Nothing I do seems to have any effect, and if I try and use the map to return to the monolith waypoint, nothing happens.

Have I missed something obvious?

Nope its a bug, I've had a few times, think I got out of it via opening map and traveling.

I have been getting this problem today. I portal out at the end of an echo and end up in a different Mono to what I started in. Sometimes I end up in a random location.
