Online party experience is horrendous!

I've put almost over 413 hours into this game, most of it being played in a party with my brother and i must say... playing in a party is very frustrating and not fun experience right now with the crazy amount of bugs.

1. Party:

Everytime we play in a party we have many issues like not seeing each others in maps, not seeing each other's party icons on the HUD and other bugs like teleport issues when we teleport to each other.

Huge lag spikes even though we have really good internet and our pings are not high.

Rubber-banding characters. Our characters start to teleport around when walking or dashing or attacking too fast.


2. Dungeons:

As I've stated above, I've put alot of hours into the game from the day i bought it, but the online experience in party has not been fun. When we play dungeons me and my brother, it really gets us frustrated. Many many many many times when we start a dungeon, halfway through the dungeon one of us gets "Lost connection to server" error, or the game freezes for both of us and we get kicked to character selection. This is by far the worst part of our online party experience because we can barely do 1 or 2 dungeons from the amount of disconnections we get.

3. Monoliths:

We've experienced many bugs in monoliths such as teleporting issues, lag spikes, rubber banding characters, maps not loading, not seeing each other on the maps.


In conclusion ... I want to say that this is a really great game for someone who like to play SOLO or OFFLINE. But if you're looking to play multiplayer with a friend or a family member on daily basis ... then this is not the game as long as these multiplayer bugs are still there.

Last Epoch DEVS need to make a patch dedicated just to fix "Connection issues and bugs" in parties. If that happens then this will be the perfect game.

I play this all the time with my friend. We rarely have issues.

The only thing you mention that i've seen is their icon not showing up unless they're close by. But, to be honest, i'm not sure if that's a bug, or just the way the game is designed.

Never had teleport not work.
Rarely, if ever rubber band.

Can count on one hand the amount of times either of us has DC'd in all the times we've played.

Are you sure this isn't an ISP or system problem on your end?

Are you sure this isn't an ISP or system problem on your end?

It's definitly not a problem from my end ... maybe you are one of the few lucky ones to have little to no issues .. But i've seen the bug reports on their official Discord server and there are so many people who are having the same issues as i am .. so i am sure its not a problem from my side

Are you sure this isn't an ISP or system problem on your end?

Have u tried to teleport to ur party member in an echo.

It's broken completely doesn't work. My wife and I have tried this several times. Always fails.

Wife and I have also had rubber banding as well as major lag spikes and ping is perfectly fine.

Many issues op brings up have been issues with MP since March of last yr when 0.9 MP update went live

What I do find interesting is others in parties don't seem to experience the same issues. Others do.

If you have a realtek ethernet adapter (on mobo) try using the windows default driver (uninstall network driver and let windows reinstall the driver it wants). For whatever reason newer supplied drivers cause an issue with the online in Last Epoch. I'm not sure if it's a game issue, or an underlying issue with realtek drivers, but it works as I haven't lost connection anymore after another 25 hours.
