I was actually wondering when the next 'Cycle' (season) begins. The game says they're about 3 months long iirc, but it might be different for the first one. With D4, the first season was only like 6 weeks after launch.

My guess is right now the LE team is focused on fixing bugs and rebalancing things. We still don't have Gambler's Falacy fixed. With D4, they have a much bigger staff so they can do things quicker.

Thanks for update

Afaik, The Summit has been sorta announced. It's a system focused on fighting bosses. And several others like Ward Formula change(s) etc.

Have they said anything about when it's going to be released? I'm not saying I necessarily want next Cycle immediately, but it would be nice to have a heads up. With D4 I was in the middle of a bunch of playthroughs and couldn't finish due to how quickly Season 1 came after launch

i've found that with this arpg i want to invest for these characters and stash now before moving onto a new set so quickly which has been kind of nice not having a looming reset always overhead for now at least

Yeah. I'm fine with it not coming right away. I just want to know how to plan my time. I was digging around online and some people are saying that the 3-4 month date is just an estimate and it could take up to a year for the next cycle.

As far as what's coming specifically aside from (I'm assuming) bug fixes and balance updates, I found this on their forums:

We’re excited to start to share with you the future content plans we have for Last Epoch, including our next major Cycle patch, 1.1.

The content coming for Patch 1.1 is designed specifically in two parts. The first, and most important part is focusing on and committing time to act on player feedback. We are wholly committed to making the best ARPG in the genre, and listening to our amazing community is a big part of that. In addition, throughout the 1.0 Cycle we intend to release quality of life and bug fix patches regularly.

Secondly, as you all may know, we’re going to have a heavy emphasis on expanding end-game content now that we’ve released 1.0. For future patches we have plans to expand the monolith, bring great new itemization options, add more boss content, class and balance updates, campaign content, etc. For 1.1 specifically we’ll be focusing on bringing some “pinnacle” content, or very hard fights that will give you challenges to aspire to. We’ll be sharing more on this and more of what’s to come in 1.1 in the not too distant future.

It’s worth emphasizing that EHG has a strong focus on listening to the community, as it’s where our team came from, and we want to hear what you want to see in the future. We are active in our forums, Reddit, and social channels, so if you want to see something, please do voice it! You are not shouting into the void, nor do you have to amass an army to get us to take notice. We’re there and ready to have conversations with you all.

Nice. That sounds great. So what’s the point of doing monoliths and dungeons end game. Do they serve different purposes for loot?

I haven't done a lot of end game personally, but what it sounds like is that the "pinnacle" bosses are going to be very difficult and require you to grind the end game areas to be strong enough to beat them.

Patience young padawan. Rome wasn't built in a cycle.

I am more keen to hear what will be the difference between cycle 2 and the non-cycle. Since I am not into leaderboard reset nor a new and fresh economy, I may stay with non-cycle anyway.

I'm actually curious how common 0 gold items will be in the next cycle. I haven't done any high level trading, but being able to get uniques and set items for 0 gold is a huge draw to Merchant's guild. Not only that, but you also have enough choice to find high rolls on those items. A decent selection of idols is also nice.
