Have the devs confirmed that? or are some people making assumptions based on path of exile?
To me an aggressive cycle is going to be what they need to keep the game going long term BUT it all hinges on what they actually do for that cycles gimmick.
Realistically though it's a lot of dev time, testing the cycles content on that short turn around can get a good chunk of the issues BUT many more will still get through and be discovered quickly by the players (just through sheer number of hours the players will be logged in in the first few days)
There will be both Hardcore Mode and regular variations and they are planned to last for approximately three months."
