Force Stop key (e.g., "Shift" in Diablo)

Is there a "force stop" key, or a way to bind keys so that force stop works? It's hard to get my brain around the current control mechanism after years of Diablo.

The "force stop" key stops all movement, but allows you to continue to use skills as normal. It's a godsend for ranged classes like casters.

I see old threads mentioning force stop, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to use it.

There is no option at this moment also one of my gripes. Shift is force move on default exactly opposite of what you are asking.

map the ability to the 5 ability zone. Use W for example to attack from 1 spot. Just make sure you have move to attack enemy toggled off.

I went looking for this option early on too, but the default QWER configuration seems to work fine. You just need to forget about using the mouse to attack. That is unless you assign a skill to right click though. I use it for the mobility skill.

Nope. That'll make it a roguelike rather than an ARPG. There are specific mobility skills. Use them.

Un-tick move to melee attack in options and you stay still on attack.

For sure, I have scoured the options and settings many times. There is no force stop function.
