It's the game's fake currency used to buy cosmetic items and bypass various legal responsibilities. You can't access the store or use any cosmetics in offline mode, so if you are looking at the bundles that contain epoch points remember they are useless if you don't plan to play online.

Also, Epoch points are not acquirable from playing the game ? They are strictly a real money purchase ?

Yes. You need to link your steam account to a last epoch account and login to play online. And there is no way to earn points by playing.

Edit: Worth noting if you plan to skip creating a last epoch account you have to play in "true offline mode" which requires editing the launch properties of the game on Steam.

It's points you use to buy cosmetics and only cosmetics. (No P2W anywhere)

You use real life currency to get them.

It's also a 1:1 ratio and no scams of getting "extra" to have some over to make you buy more. 1:1 being 1$ is 10 epoch points and all cosmetics are 1:1

Also these cosmetics do not work offline if you're doing that.

Also PoE has stash tabs that you pay for real money for anyone calling these epoch points scummy. Also saying there's paid stash tabs because the games free(PoE) is a terrible argument.

How's Last Epoch's item stashing and hoarding QoL ?
Is it infinite ? Any useful features like Grim Dawn's Item Assistant ?

The game basically has the same stash mechanics as PoE, except you spend in game gold to unlock more rather than real money. You spend gold to unlock new tabs with each one costing more than the last, tabs can be renamed, colored, given an icon, and placed into folders which you can further rename/recolor/icon. It doesn't have "tab affinity" like PoE, but the game also doesn't have items that you would need something like that for, crafting materials have their own endless storage and a button to vacuum all of them out of your inventory into that storage instantly. The only thing missing from PoE is a unique tab, or quad tabs I guess.

If there is a tab limit (I'm sure there is, it can't technically be infinite) I don't know what it is and it's very high. The escalating tab cost is probably going to be the practical limiter, but 10+ tabs is fairly affordable by the start of end game.
