Primalist - Druid Mastery
I went Druid as my Mastery. I am still running around in human form attacking with my weapon and using maelstrom and my crows ability. I feel like I may have misunderstood something. Is the idea to respec once you choose your Mastery?

You can still use Crows and Maelstrom while Transformed. Swarm Strike in the Swarmblade tree has a node that activates Companion abilities. And another node that gives you stacks of Maelstrom when you use Dive. It's actually a really fun build if you do it that way.

It's up to you. You only get access to some skills well into the mastery tree so you'll have to respec some of them if you want to use them.

Interesting, If I do choose a node that activates an ability from another form or companion, does that ability take advantage of any buffs I gave it in it's own tree? For example, I Specialized Storm Crows and upgraded it's Crowstorm ability. If I select Inspiring Swarm in the Swarmblade tree and activate Crowstorm using Swarm Strike, will it use the upgraded version of Crowstorm or just the vanilla version of it?

In that situation it'll use the upgraded version. When that's not the case the node will say "when you cast this directly" meaning that triggered uses aren't upgraded.

Oh ok. That helps a lot. Thank you all!
