5 years and a boring endgame but wait the defenders will come along soon and say "compare to when POE released" not realising LE had 5 years to add depth to an end game based on other ARPGS

Ya, it's pretty unfortunate that EHG didn't really do anything to the endgame for years now and is probably my biggest complaint with the game. Progress that should've been made with endgame systems went to making sure multiplayer can be poorly shoehorned into the game.

PoE has so much to do that you can go years without playing certain content and still be overwhelmed. LE shifted its gears to being an online-centric game to compete with PoE and its leagues, but how is this even competition for GGG?

Pretty sure PoE had their first leagues pre 1.0. Compared to LE where we are getting seasons without any "seasonal content" for, according to the developer mike years.

There is no endgame. They promised that we will have more to do with 1.0 but it’s not there. Watch this going down the d4 path. Oh just wait for next season blah blah blah.

Cap all your resists and other crap then die one hit anyway. play HC if you want a longer lasting game. Enjoy rerolling constantly.

You do realize it's the first season right

Monoliths get boring pretty quick tbh. Getting the different blessings is cool, the dungeons are alright.

Still, in the end, it's a mediocre game. Something the white knights would never admit

End game is monotonous and offers no variations. There's zero variety and once you're doing empowered monoliths that's it. It's the reason I play hardcore in arpgs like this where the end game isn't particularly filled out. Gives me a reason to do it all and even the boring/repetitive stuff still requires attentiveness.

PoE launched with a less developed endgame as LE has called Maelstrom of Chaos. We can complain about the "lack" of endgame, but the truth is, the endgame as it stands is fun and EHG made a great core game and can now focus on endgame itself. Unlike Diablo 4, which still has to dedicate so much to still getting their core game right.

What PoE did however many years ago is irrelevant. EHG had all of GGG's homework to cheat from and couldn't even do that...

"refining my builds and getting stacks of loots for alts isn't very fun"
So, what about the factions? They're a pretty hefty grind and I'd throw them into "endgame" since you unlock them at the end of the story more or less.
inb4 "That's not endgame reeee" or "Grind isn't endgame".

at the moment monoliths, arena, dungeons. IIRC their first priority after game is stabilized is uber bosses then improving monoliths(?) and other endgame stuff.
