That is because there are empowered variants of the endgame, tuning everything to lvl 100 (which is max level), so to beat that you need to grind accordingly.
With "only" the campaign, each monolith and dungeon once (which will still get you to ~lvl 90 or something) I'd guess ~30 hours /played on your first playthrough.
Well, I'm currently 30 hours in since 1.0 (with much of it in loading screens / logging in), have one char at lvl 75 and another at 28, and the 75 char is going through the monoliths at the moment, I don't think it'll take more than 10 hours to beat the last unempowered one.
So I still think my estimates are close. But yeah, you can spend thousands of hours easily with all the chars, builds and boosts :-)
If you are actually asking about all available content, then the previous answers people gave you are more or less correct. but if you are actually asking only about the campaign plus or minus the dungeons, then its about 14 to 16 hours, depending on how you play.
i am relatively uninterested in grinding gear sets in endgame raids/dungeons. that is why i asked the full campaign and all dungeons once. i assume theres also added difficulties like heroic, and mythic ?
I play really slow though. I read all optional dialogue, I read the game guide, I'm playing in HC, I'm playing around with the crafting system way more than needed, etc, etc.
You can probably finish the campaign at half the time I took even in your first go, if you aren't as slow as me.
I can't speak for the length of the stuff beyond the campaign, yet.
Good enough. thanks for the info.
