This is the correct answer
I asked if there was a setting
I just want a quick halt and if I want to teleport I hit spacebar or click again and if I don't I just click away
It doesn't need to be 7 confirmations
Destiny does things like this, you hold down F to transistion or start things
So does a lot of other games but I was specifically thinking of destiny because if you're deleting a especially rare item it takes longer holding down F than it does a low rarity item
That kind of thinking would be good in this situation
Otherwise, what is the setting so I can stop teleporting on accident?
You can now run into any glowing thing in the game and not actually enter it until you press the button you assigned.
I thought it would just a toggle I'd would turn on and I'd just get asked instead...
Can we just have the toggle idea?
Make a suggestion on the Discord for a toggle to give a popup off by default. Pretty sure I also suggested that and many others, but hey more people suggest it maybe it gets added faster.
In the mean time, I made a guide for anyone still confused on how to set this up: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3168881057
"dealing with a popup' is a LOT easier than most people's load times if they accidentally hit T instead of R when readjusting your fingers and not even realizing you did it until suddenly you're loading the town...
I have done this 3 times so far
I have accidentally stepped into other areas several times now
I have accidentally ported back to where I came from after teleportating into the stage
So my suggestion is instead of instant reaction it gives you a little 'yes/no' and you could hit spacebar real fast to approve the port
Super easy
You make it seem like a normal gameplay mechanic isn't needed
You also make it seem like its some sort of unwanted web pop up instead of a normal game mechanic
