Last Epoch more shines with item system, mechanics and endgame. It has a great crafting system, a good guild system for players who like to play solo self found.
It has currently 3 seperate dungeons with special mechanics. In one you can upgrade your unique items to more powerful legendary items. It also has an arena endless mode where waves get harder and harder.
It has definitely more long term fun as D4, but campaign is more or less mediocre like in any othere arpg
I will say, in my opinion, picking up D4 to solely play the campaign and then drop the game is actually worth the admission price. That's coming from someone who dropped the game mid season 1 while realizing how unbelievably soulless it is in the long run.
The interface however is downright bad the control options customization is bad.
This game needs some serious patching in that area. Example hover over items does not work properly when you move your mouse in certain parts of the interface. Those are things that all can be patched but it should absolutely not be present at 1.0 launch.
