Taking a break until Lagon is nerfed.

Died more times than I can count to Lagon. Just insta killed every time. I have high resistances (50+) to ice and lightning. Could I have more? Yes. Should I? Yes.
Am I going to go hunting for something decent to use for god knows how long until I can MAYBE take a single hit with 10% hp left?

Hell no. This is the WILDEST difficulty spike in any game I have played in recent memory. Moon blast? One shot. Eye beam? One shot. Super fast moving waves in stage 2? One shot.
Oh, and my only recovery technique cant target the tentacles reliably AT ALL. Lunge will not reliably attack, maybe after 10x attempts can I use it.

I am not saying make end game Lagon nerfed. Nerfing everything isnt fun. But mid campaign Lagon needs to stop abusing steroids. I can one shot almost any non %hp monster instantly. So this has been... abrupt and less of a challenge than annoying BS.

you know all those affix shards youve been collecting use them to up your resistance on the gear you already have or just get gud the campaign is mind numbingly easy

If you jam yourself in the lower left corner against the tentacle blocking your way down he can only hit you with the attack that is a timed circle explosion. You just move then move back.

If you're avoiding telegraphed attacks, you shouldn't be getting one-shot. It sounds like you may be glass cannon oriented. Before you drop the game or go gear hunting, you might consider having a look at what defensive passives you could respec for and defensive skills you could be using to help with your survivability. They make a world of difference

You're not wrong. Lagon is the single-biggest difficulty spike in the game by far. From a design standpoint, I think it's way too big of a spike.

That being said, it's still easy once you learn the fight. It's way quicker to just learn all the telegraphs and not get hit than it is to try and spend days farming gear to out-stat Lagon.

I got the game about 2 weeks ago, ive killed lagon 4 times dying a maximum of 3 times and every time ive died was my fault. fought and beat him twice right before 1.0 dropped, and twice when 1.0 dropped in campaign and monolith. he doesn need to be nerfed at all

Ye he is fairly fair fight once you learn it'll just annoying without right defenses and gear as he is a heavy hitter, likely first one would face

I just did Lagon on my sentinel. The only thing that gave me problems was his sustained cold ray out of his eye. That would kill me fast (died twice) But it is heavily telegraphed (once I recognized it no more death) and I just lunge to the other tentacle. Pretty smooth.

I don't have any problems with lunge in general and it was a perfect skill for that fight. Just ping pong between the two tentacles.

Perhaps I was overleveled. 54 Paladin when I fought him.

I died 20 times figured out that something was wrong with my build respecced and took hin down in one attempt. its all about learing the mechanichs and speccing your character the right way. I really hope they never nerf lagoon because its a hard but great boss
