Bug: map overlay is broken (OpenGL)
Overlay is missing the actual map, though icons are shown.

Overlay works fine if I set the launch command to “%command% -force-vulkan”.

(RX 6600 XT, Mesa 24.0.1.)

Time to try this, thought it was because I was on untra widescreen, perhaps the combination is what is making it not work as none of my other friends which just play on 16:9 aspect ratios have the issue.

I doubt that the aspect ratio is relevant. (16:9 here, FWIW.)

Also (with Vulkan) seeing some white translucent overlaid (full-screen) when the minimap (which is what I meant by “map overlay”) isn't shown.

[Edit] Turns out that this one is down to the overlay map scaling. Adjust the value and it goes away.

Steam on Linux with RX 6500XT

I can confirm the issue with empty mini map, only icons are visible, same after push TAB key with map in center. The fullsreen map over key M has a black background, only the map points are visible.

I had this issue (on linux mint) and switching to Proton GE 8-32 then removing force-vulkan from the launch options fixed it for me. There is a 4.8GB download when you do this.

Exactly same problem i had last year. I refunded because of that.
It's quite intruiging that they haven't fixed this in one year.
