Few questions
1. How are the drop rates? I am not really interested in how are they at the beginning, but more so as you progress. Are there any reputation systems like in Grim Dawn where you can get Quality Equipment with 100% chance? Stuff like that.

2. How is the Offline Mode? I have no use for Online, I play these almost exclusively solo, so Offline is what I care about the most.

3. How is the customization and progression? How do they feel, can you at least pretend you are making something of your own?

4. Finally, how's the entire Singleplayer feel? Story, setting, replayability etc.

///

Thank you!

So, can anyone help? Spare a few moments and answer these?

What you end up being most interested in are drops with stats you want to upgrade on your gear, shattering that gear for the stat upgrade shards, and the related glyphs to increase chance to not spend forge points when upgrading. Its more of a "upgrade my gear to perfect rolls" over finding it dropped with perfect stats, if that makes sense.

Drop rates are good though, ive never thought im not getting enough drops though.

Offline is fine, just dont buy cosmetic MTX you cant see it offline.

Customization and progression, ill assume is build depth and how well you can tinker, and here its awesome, and its easy to respec minus your class specialization. Each skill you use will end up getting its own mini skill web for you to level and put 20 points (plus additional on gear stats) into. This is what makes customizing so fun.

You can, for the most part, just play with no real plan and have a perfectly good time, this games version of endgame "mapping" is also decently fun.

Just watch some youtube reviews from arpg streamers if you need to see how it plays.

Ive skipped the story, its not in your face, I havent heard its amazing but also ive not heard that its really bad or anything.

Its an ARPG for replayability, youll either get that or you wont. More laid back version of POE mapping sorta.

Apologies, boards getting spammed by the people with login issues.

Reviews getting bombed too. Hard to get an accurate read. Thank you for responding.

So, during leveling, how's the drop rates and equipment? PoE is awesome in many ways, but not when it comes to customization. I actually hate that socket system. And think it's a bad, exploitative design.

Look at the youtube reviews from ARPG streamers, its actually a good game IF you like ARPG games.

If you care about logging in, ive not had a single issue, but theres about 25 people spamming they cant play. Its $30. Up to you I cant think for you buddy.

If you make game purchases based on steam forums and steam reviews, when half the reviews are meme and meme attempts, your already playing with a short stack.

Drop rates are pretty bad. I've been playing this game for 5 years so let me explain how it works.

At end-game every build revolves around a full set of Legendary equipment. Legendary equipment is Unique that has been enhanced through one of the two Legendary crafting processes: either the Eternity Cache or the Weaver's Web.

Without getting into too much detail, getting a Legendary with the stats you want (not even good rolls, just the stats you want) is behind like 6 or 7 layers of RNG. You have like a 1 in trillions chance. Not kidding.

Getting the Uniques is fairly easy to do, even though the drop rate for those is still too low. But getting a Unique that has the stats you want AND enough upgrade potential to make it into a worthwhile Legendary will take months or years of farming. And once you've farmed that, then you have to farm a Purple item with the exact stats you want so you can combine them into Legendary. Again, months or years of farming if it ever drops at all.

And then, once you've spent two years farming for these two items, when you combine them in the Eternity Cache there's an extra layer of RNG for which stats get transferred to the new Legendary. So there's a good chance that all of that farming goes to waste and those items get bricked when you try to combine them. And that's just one gear slot; you still have 10 other gear slots to farm after that.

TL;DR:
If you just want to finish the campaign, drop rates are fine, gear doesn't even really matter and you can beat the campaign in just about anything.

If you are playing for endgame and trying to perfect a build, this game laughs in your face and tells you to go ♥♥♥♥ yourself.

Side-note:
Getting perfect roll BIS gear at endgame doesn't even make your character stronger anyway, since the bosses all scale with the damage you do, so doing more damage just makes the boss have more HP and the fight takes longer.

Thanks.

I don't really care about the endgame, but if it starts intruding even during the leveling, kinda like it does in PoE or even in D2(for that matter), that's when I say "we have a problem". PoE is a perfect example. You have an item with perfect stats / rolls, but wrong / sub-par socket setup. Most often it is GG.

I'll admit it. I play aRPGs more for the experience they offer and how visceral they often are. Gearing and farming is mostly a roadblock towards fun for me.

For leveling through the campaign, you can really just wear any random gear at all and not even think about what you're picking up or putting on. The drop rates for uniques still suck when leveling, but it just doesn't matter because you don't need uniques the campaign is ridiculously easy.

Of course, you'll have an easier time if you at least put a couple seconds of effort into wearing gear that has the stats you want.

Drops during campaign are awful. Endgame makes it a bit easier because we have targeted loot BUT, you still have to farm a lot to get near perfect exalted items and unique in order to turn them into a legendary item.

I have another question: who balanced this? An entire class(Sent) is just horri-terri-bad mess. What gives?

I've only tried mage, primalist and sentinel. Sentinel is the one I liked the most and am sticking with lol. Weird how opinions can vary so much.

I like him too, but the numbers are all wrong. Unless you go something lazy like Rive or Hammer or spin2win. His defences are also lacking when HH is out of equation.
