so, look on both sides of the fences...
I really only played D2 offline or with a friend at a LAN party. The desire to trade is... baffling to me. I want to play a game where I am akin to god and where I find the toys a god needs to satiate their fury.
I dont want to play to look at a drop and think "Oh wow! I can get 4 butterfly cubes for that and then transmog those into a lizard wizard scooter to trade for that sword I actually want!"
I remember during early access they just gave up and some very funky stuff was going on with people editing their characters and save files.
But ye... i feel for everyone that wanted to play with their friends on launch.
People have been playing offline and online with friends for the longest time with the same set of characters with no limitations and still continue to do so.
Developer just have to make sure players can't take these characters into seasons and ladders instead of separating offline and online all together.
Hehe... nope. Just like I never get headhunter or mageblood even when I play trade league.
And just like I didn't get the ravenous gloves in my previous 400h.
If they're that rare they will still require some insane amount of currency anyway. And, as I said, I'm not good enough and sweaty enough for that.
Crappy SSF characters are good enough.
