They'll probably update the engine before porting it to consoles since it's a requirement then, at that point DLSS could be a possibility, but it's at least a year away.
this game has skill trees, not skill twigs, as a reviewer on the Steam store puts it.
Everything about this game is better than Diablo, and you don't need this fake technology for generating excessive FPS that aren't required in the first place.
Reason DLSS could be required:
"After analyzing two images from a game back-to-back, DLSS 3 uses this information to insert an extra AI-created frame that does not have to be rendered by the game itself. This result is in even higher frame rates than standard DLSS 2. It can also help dramatically increase the smoothness in CPU bottlenecked games.11 Jul 2023"
This game doesn't bottleneck a GTX 1070 and i5 10400f, 32GB RAM, proper paging file, Windows 11, or 10
But it doesn't support vulkan anymore... that's a real loss...
For what the game does better, that's a personal thing I feel.
For me, the main things are:
The choices feel more meaningful, the item stats make more sense and your choices feel better, the amount of different builds you can do even within one single class is vastly more than D4, the endgame feels more fleshed-out and more interesting. The idea that every skill has its own skilltree is great, crafting is amazingly done.
The ingame lootfilter is just about perfect, easy to use and quickly to build a simple one that increases your QoL enormously, and you can finetune it in amazing detail if you want.
The droprates feel good as well.
OP's PC probably does not run the game on base specs without help
DLSS 3 is only available on Nvidia's latest Ada Lovelace architecture, thus it can only work on GeForce RTX 40-series GPUs.11 Sept 20"
....
Huh, cool,
But then what is the point really?
A 4k card should easily run Last Epoch with absolutely no hiccups, the tech would just add additional strain to run with absolutely no notable effects on performance

Some titles dont need it , thats true but games are always smoother when used. For me it is mostly 40fps more with frame generation available and used
So i think also that Unity top priority should be to include FG and DLSS 3 in their engine. ( and the corresponding AMD techs )
Also , the upcoming Switch 2 ( Nintendo ) also gonna use frame generation, so again get used to it, it is the future. ( especially for consoles )
