Gamebreaking bug?

So my progress was just hard stopped. I freed the old man in chapter 1, Balthas I think his name was? We went back to the keeper camp and he creates a portal that he teleported through but I got the LE-61 failed to matchmake notification as he tried to teleport me.

Now there is no questline on my screen at all, it shows no next objective and I have no idea where to go or what to do.

Any help is appreciated, I only bought the game yesterday and have been having non-stop issues with connectivity and online play.

Same and I tried rebooting the game and no characters. Appears to be all is lost which will really suck.

Just happened to me too. Seems like it's been a problem since at least May of last year. Super disheartening. Seems the only solution is to restart.

I believe you can manually go to where he would have teleported you even if it did not load correctly - the confusion is that it is in a different "time zone" . So you can go to the map, move two "time zones" to the right (iirc) and find the, now unlocked, new waypoint and manually go there.
