Rogue Start
Is it me or does the Rogue start off super weak with meh skills? I think every other class starts off much stronger. I also got super bored by the gameplay rotation. None of their skills are flashy or powerful, nothing with impact. Either acid, shoot 3 times, or shoot 1 pierce shot...oh and blink/evade.

how do you guys feel about the Rogue start? again I am just referring to the very start, not mid or endgame.

Eventually, it's pretty sad at low levels though compared to just basic attack though :steamsad:

i literally said not mid game or endgame. Just the first 10-15 levels. Of course a class will be more powerful with more items, skills, and so on. But if the start doesnt give you a glimpse of that fun. You dont want to continue to find out. Which is what happened to me. I tried Rogue, found the gameplay boring and deleted it. Not going to bother maxing out a character if the start of the game is boring and painful. If the game/class cant grab my attention in the first 15-30 mins or the first 15 levels, then the devs messed up and need to look at the start of the game again. Simple as that.
It definitely not weak, even in the first 15 levels, but all the skills is kind of boring i agree, like everything in this game to be honest.

I think enemies have way too much HP to start the game. If you dare use a skill like shurikens over flurry, you end up having to 10 shot a white mob. Rogue ends up being the best-feeling class in the game barring maybe voidknight though.

I used the poison bomb and it felt weak for one min and then gokd.

Idk tho by then I got a rare weapon that increased phys damage that was huge. Maybe you just don't get the scaling of some of the moves like the other chars?

Also you really need spec in 3+ moves to even vaguely experience a shadow build properly, if you can't invest past level 15 or 30 minutes of gameplay to see a builds combos come together idk what to tell you that's just barring yourself from some of the best stuff in the game

LOL I guess thats why everyones playstyle is so different.

Judy Im finding the 1st 10 levels of Rogue an absolute "powerhouse". Honestly as i was reading these comments im surprised no one else said it

Soon as you get Flurry. That is your only skill you need. Ok maybe not really I did acquire a skill at 8 or 9 I dont remember name but i changed flurry for that.

Anyways did you know you can "hold down" the button for that skill? [flurry]. It doesnt take mana, it doesnt have any penalties at all! Find a good weapon hopefully "fast type" then also improve your "fast attack skills" and again you will "shred" your enemies like a piece of paper.

im not at my computer but ill gladly share my build later. Again I just hit level 10 and again im tearing up enemies they cant hardly touch me! lol At this point ive tried other classes Rogue right now is very very OP again ill share my skills tonight

Primalist was 1st class Lvl 10
Sentinel/Paladin 2nd Lv 5
Mage 3rd Lv 5
Rogue 4th. Lvl 10 And i may stick with this to beat the act before i go thru leveling up others.

My sentinel is lvl 55.
My Acolyte is 43.
Primalist 25
Mage deleted and Rogue deleted.

I have tried them all and Rogue is by far the worst, it start really weak and the enemies are too spongie. Sure later on that is going to change but I dont care about later on. I care about the start. It decides if I want to continue to the end or not. I decided to not continue. That is all. I am not here to debate preferences or how OP they get later on.

I started on rogue yesterday (first time this game in general) and now lvl 70 running monoliths like its nothing. never had problems, every boss melted so far... I think its the complete opposite of topic

It was certainly a lot rougher than my acolyte, that's for sure. That first boss was whooping my ass with rogue.

Just gotta get over that initial hump.

Can't confirm, maybe its based on what weapon you find at the very start, or in general if you find an item that carries you. whatsoever, I never had a good item until level 21 and I still never had problems and never felt weak. Dunno what this thread is about honestly. Also "I care about the start" so you care about 3 skills which you do not use ever again once you have the mastery.... really don't get your point, these games are all more or less the same (classes can do certain things, rogue = dagger/bow, fast attacks but squishy ect), nobody reinvented the wheel, whether you just can not play properly or have no clue about these kind of games.

Ok real quick.

My passives are Swift Assassin I'm 5/8 right now so Attack Speed is 15%
Eventually Lvl 8/9/10 I got "Twin Blades" so dual wielding
From Flurry I put points into "Deep Strikes" so +8%

And at Level 10 my Flurry is producing 240dmg per second (estimated)

And the other Skill that i'll probably use over flurry is the "Cinder Strike" which is 230dmg per second (level 10 I am)

Both Flurry and Cinder Strike doesnt have a cooldown; also consumes no mana; has no repercussions at the moment. So "hold down the button" and you'll become a powerhouse!

PS. As I mentioned I did start Last Epoch with a Primalist so I did save some weapons in my chest so I can have my other characters use. Otherwise I do understand loot is completely random so finding that great weapon would be hard. But I believe both my Twin Blades produce less than +15 ATK each
