The steam page says "Partial Controller Support" for Xbox Controller, however, this is extremely misleading and really needs to be updated to "Very Limited Support" or "Not Supported".
I'm kinda dissapointed too. More when some staff said even on Discord that 1.0 will improve everything.
refunded.
Really? Which controller are you using? I've had lots of issues with my X-Box controller.
Key issues: can't use/rebind A and Y, s***** targeting sometimes fires in another direction, have to use the right stick as a mouse, need to calibrate /re-calibrate every so often, for simple actions (selling etc.) you are better off using a mouse as the controller does not work very well. Only real plus is that you can seamlessly switch between the controller and mouse.
Eg targeting works fine for some skills most of the time e.g. totems. But at other times fails and places it in a totally random place. Unfortunately, for other skills it does not work at all, in my limited play time leap was one of them (also sorc fireball) - I think only worked for me a handful of times. Now i just use leap as a travel skill - works fine in narrow areas, in others leap and hope for the best. Lol.
The LE Steam page says Partial Controller Support for Xbox Controller and "Support for other controllers is not known".
This is simply not true; there is at best Limited Support for my X-Box controller; and I have to constantly go back to using my mouse. Thankfully that is seamless.
You're welcome i guess but yeah im a bit dissapointed defeat all the purpose i had to play on my steam deck
balista / summon / curse build are unplayable with controller for what i tested
I get it, probably shouldn't mention D4 here, but some builds there are not playable with controller either. Trampleslide being one example. If you use a controller it only hits the nearest enemy instead of going max distance through the mobs. It can be very frustrating.
From your first post, I can see something similar is going on LE except with spells going max distance with no way to change the behavior.
Proper controller support should have togglable options for each skill such as, target nearest, target furthest, travel max distance etc.
Yup , or at least let me somehow aim with right stick so i say where i place my summons or spells. Idk , anything would be better than that.
And yeah , you are right about D4 , some issues are there. ( Wich it's odd because Diablo 3 console port is flawless )
I mean , they advertised controller support. So .. it should work :p.
