Controller support
1.0 introduced full controller support but I was wondering if anyone knows if it supports PS5 controller or only XBOX as it is the only controller I have. Thank you

As the Steampage for that Game said, it supports mostly XBOX Controller. Other Controllers were not testet but can work.

I have a PS5 controller connected via bluetooth and it's working great. Still get xbox button prompts, but that's nothing new.

It detects my DualSense Edge (notification prompt in the corner) but it doesn't work for me. If I enable Steam Input, then it just sees my controller as an xInput controller and defaults to Xbox buttons.

Can we also talk about the quality of controller support? I'm hearing mixed things.

Just use Steam Input. It supports any controller. I haven't noticed any rumble support.

Ok (rate it 5/10) on my x-box controller, but not the best. Certainly, better than PoE; but not as good as D4 (or maybe BG3)! Have not tried my PS controller yet.

Key issues: can't use/rebind A and Y, s***** targeting sometimes fires in another direction, have to use the right stick as a mouse, need to calibrate /re-calibrate every so often, for simple actions (selling etc.) you are better off using a mouse as the controller does not work very well. Only real plus is that you can seamlessly switch between the controller and mouse.

Many of the issues existed at EA and many bug reports were raised, unfortunately we're not a big enough audience to merit a fix. So …. we have what we had in EA.

So as someone interested to play only with a controller, do you still recommend it or better stay away?

I dont know exactly what they changed and what does full controller support mean to them, but it is actually exactly what it was before the 1.0 release. Playing on a controller for me personally is really bad. Navigating through menus, inventory and etc is painful and is not worth the effort. Stopped playing because of that and was hoping to start again yesterday, but unfortunately they did not improve anything. For a comparison Diablo 4 does a very good job with the controller support and you can do anything freely, intuitively and natively. I wanted to play LE though, but since I am bound to my Rog Ally, I cant enjoy it in its current state.
