Main quest bugged and cant progress.

I just got to the Northern Road with Keeper Balthas. I went to town using the waypoint to sell loot, came back, and he is gone.
I hear him when near the waypoint saying, "I know you have questions, but first let me make sure the Epoch is safe." However, he is not anywhere on the map.

The quest objective is now "Talk to the Keeper Guard" which I can see, but am not able to interact with her. The map dead ends here, closing the game and rezoning do not fix it.

Submitted a bug report, but who knows how long it will be until it gets fixed. Anyone encountered this and know a way to fix it?


UPDATE: It was a super simple fix. Just backtrack from the waypoint and you will find the Keeper near the entrance. He rushes off and the quest progresses.

Have to go back and escort him to that area again. Don't go to town during that part or log off just to be safe.

i found the old geezer at the start of the level after i came back from town. and that fixed it for me
