3rd party account needed!?

Why is this still needed to play this game here on Steam; even after today when v1.0 release is here!?

I wanted to buy it for years now, just waiting for them to drop that annoyance!

Uhh it uses my Steam account. Not sure what their problem is. Didn't have to make any account or whatever.

Well, that's what it says on the Store page still; so that's why I am asking.

I don't have the time to buy the game and if it still requires 3rd-party account, refund it!

That's why I would like a response from developers and/or someone with proof of 3rd-party account not needed to play here on Steam!?

It's not a matter of time/few seconds, it's about principle!

And developer, especially small indie developer should not make gamers make Yet another 3rd-party account to play their game.

This was a weird situation to begin with; small indie developer with their first game which can make or break them, requesting 3rd-party account!

I don't need to play this game, I have enough games already, so if there are no responses from developers, I will just move on and probably many more people who just don't want to make another 3rd-party account on top of all those they already have/use or were made to make in few seconds before!

If I run the game in offline mode, there's no option to sign-in. Thus I assume it doesn't need a 3rd party account to create and play in offline mode.

For online mode, you obviously do need one.

No you don't. I've been playing offline since yesterday by just launching the game through Steam. I haven't been able to try the online part but I'm not really interested in this aspect so don't really care.

The offline mode works fine with just Steam
