Advantages to Playing Online?

I kind of want to start over fresh because my stash is full of junk and a bunch of playthroughs halfway through the campaign. However, I don't plan on doing groups or trading so I'm not sure if I get anything from online mode.

Just curious if there is any reason to play online or maybe I should just delete all my characters and sell my stash items and continue to play offline.

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but last few times I've tried to get back into LE I ended up not enjoying it so I want this time to be different.

You can't use any MTX or preorder bonuses offline. It's unknown I think whether cycle content (seasons/leagues) will come to offline, but I would guess not. Cycles will probably require new characters to be made anyway and the point of them is a fresh start, and if you don't care about MTX or multiplayer then there's no reason in the 1.0 release version to play online instead of offline. When the first cycle starts in a few months that might change things.

ah right, thanks, yeah I forgot about possible cycle content in the future I guess. I think for the launch I'll do at least my first char offline then

" So whats the point in Trade Guild.. Solo wont need trade guild.

I could never play a game like this in offline mode because i always have this weird mindset that i could just cheat to get things i want. This would be pointless and kills the fun for me. It's just how i think about this.

If you not going to play with others or trade the only reason to play online is the cycle/season leader boards race etc.

My opinion is that whilst you don't plan to do online stuff currently if you decide to later then you'll not have the option to move your stuff to the online mode. Meaning you'll have to start fresh.
Unless you plan on playing on the steam deck or something i don't really know what you lose by playing online mode :)

Yeah. I guess I'll have to wait for seasonal content. That would be the main reason to play online, but there isn't anything like that on launch I assume.
