I'm sure the devs will add them in at some point though.
Like they don't seem to understand that some portion of the population enjoys achievements... to the point where entire communities have popped up to program achievements into old games like retroachievements, entire websites dedicated tracking them, entire FAQ sections on how to accomplish them... or that places like GameFAQS didn't exist before achievements where players deep dove into games to be "completionists" before it was even a programmed thing.
Some of us grew up making own versions of them (beating games on hard modes, or with restrictions) to the point when they became a thing, it scratches some itch that was always there for some players.
But any time it's pointed out that achievements might matter to a player, someone has to come in and do the internet thing of "they shouldn't exist", "who cares", etc., despite the fact it's 2024 and achievements are standard at this point.
The simple fact is - for some people, enjoying the game 100% is impossible without achievements - ESPECIALLY knowing they might come some day.
Last Epoch should have had them already. Even if it matters to 2% of the potential population, that's still a pretty decent chunk of sales, it gets asked enough where it obviously matters to some people and not having them feels like wasted time if there is no retroactive achieving of them.
Even POE has challenges (and achievements) which clearly shows how addicting they can be.
What do you mean by already finished?
Its missing chapters of the story
Missing skills for some masteries
Some masteries need reworked
Missing endgame content
Still missing some itemization talked about from 2 years ago
They started cycles but no cycle content and no idea as to when. Lacks roadmap
I like the game but let's be honest. Far from finished. They ran out of money once and had to get investment from tencent. I think multiplayer hung them up a bit long and financially.
As far as achievements they already said would like to have them. As to the when? Who knows
1.0 isn't feature incomplete. They got in everything they intended to. Quit being a petulant child
